Honestly, I bought this phone because it looked very sleek and clean.  Aside from just being "cute", it is really easy to use and i love that i can listen to my favorite music on it.  I also love using the camera and video on it.  I have no complaints, i am extremely satisfied. —… read full review »

When the Chocolate phone came out Verizon Wireless wanted it to be the RAZR they missed out on a few years prior.  The company put a heavy marketing campaign behind the Chocolate and for awhile everyone under the age of 18 needed to have this phone.  As time passed and more and more… read full review »

when i had the chance to choose between many different colors of phones, the first thought that came to mind was "wow, i can actually choose a nice, hip phone and color these days"... the phone i am talking about is the LG Chocolate. not the old one, but the new one. the color choices were dark blue, light blue, black, and dark red. my choice was the red mainly because it was a 50 50 chance of choosing that one or the dark blue. but the reason i chose this phone was mainly for the color, but there are many other great things about it as well. this phone is all around great. the… read full review »

When the ad for this phone first came out I wanted one right away! It was so sleek looking! As soon as I could get my "new every two" phone I got this one! Im very pleased with it! It picks up great service and the sound quality of the phone is great! I love how the speaker phone button is right where you hold the phone so If you need to quickly switch to speaker your finger is right on it! The only bad things I noticed of the phone were the touch pad keys. Sometimes while im on the phone Ill hit one on accident and It was go to a different menu and sometimes interupt the call. And when im… read full review »

When this phone first came out I couldn't wait for the time to get my "new every two".  As soon as I could, I got this phone.  I love the features of the phone.  It plays music great.  The camera take pretty good pictures also.  I have taken pictures before that my friends couldn't believe came from my phone.  THe one negative thing I would have to say about the phone is the touchy keypad.  Sometimes you just barely touch it and you are all over the place in the… read full review »

I like the chocolate.  It has good features on it.  I do not like the front role dial.  I seem to hit it alot when trying to make a call or trying to put info into my phone.  The front buttons are a pain too.  I hit cancel all the time.  The volume on the phone is great.  There is a lot of room in the phone book.  It is light weight and easy to put in you pocket or… read full review »

This phone gets A+ for looks, hands down. As for quality...C-. There are random times when you can't hear the person on the other line or the other line can't hear you, for no particular reason. I don't find the phone too sensitive as other people say though. I dropped my phone many times and it is still… read full review »

I got my Chocolate in August of '06, so it's one of the older ones.  While the screen is large and plenty bright, the overall quality of the phone is poor.  The screen is very easily scratched by just about anything.  I managed to keep mine unmarred for about 6 months, which is WAY longer than anyone else I know of that has this same style of phone.  The sliding mechanism can be troublesome, and woe to anyone who gets grit or dirt in the sliding part, as it is difficult to clear out. — I do a lot of texting, and this is NOT the phone for that.  The shape of the… read full review »

The phone looks good ill tell you that much. The slider adds style to the phone as well as the large screen and the cool red cherry color just tops it off. Another good thing about this phone is you can use it either slid open, or shut. To use it shut, there is a lock feature since the phone has a touch screen on the outside. It is easy to unlock, simply press the outside buttons on the side of the phone either once or twice (depending on your settings). The last good thing about this phone is the music player. It has loud speakers. The music player is also easy to use. However, this phone… read full review »

The LG Chocolate is a wonderful cell phone. The sleek look, touchkey features, MP3 player, and EZ Navigator are just a few features that make this phone unique. The Choclate is known for it's MP3 player function. If you buy the essentials music kit for this phone, you can download and listen to music on this phone. You can also transfer music to the SD card and play it on your phone that way or just download directly from the web on the phone, but this will cost money. I love the design of the LG Chocolate. The bright colors of the displays and choices of colors of the phone itself are a nice… read full review »

I recently received the LG Chocolate as a gift. I'm impressed with the phone's appearance and size. I love the camera; it takes clearer pictures than my digital camera. You can put a good amount of mp3s on it, so it's pretty convenient to not have to carry my ipod with me all the time. — — I love the phone, but I have some gripes. First, why is the music kit not included? Even if they just gave you the cable to connect to your PC, or just included the microSD; something! But nope. The music kit is extra, and the stupid phone even requires special headphones. Ugh! — —… read full review »

I am a proud owner and obviously a user of the LG Chocolate from Verizon Wireless. It is a very good phone, that comes with all the needed features, a simple call and receive calls, cell phone. Plus, it is structured with a touch sensitive keypad, which is good because you don't wear out your buttons fast, and is easy. Some people think that the touch sensitive keypad is a bit annoying, and too sensitive, however if you look in the settings and tools subtitle in the menu, you can adjust the sensitivity level to the keypad to your liking. It also has an option of V-Cast music which is… read full review »

I bought this phone mainly because it was pretty.  I don't need a phone for emails and gps and all that hoopla, but I thought it was really cool it could also be an mp3 player.  — What was not cool was that the software needed to use the mp3 portion is not included with the phone and is somewhat over priced.  — The touchpad is too sensitive, so if you answer the phone and put it up to your ear before it locks back up, you hear a lot of beeps as your cheek pushes buttons on the phone.  It's also very inconvenient when you're talking to an automated service,… read full review »

What I love about the LG Chocolate VX8500 is that it's not like your typical cell phone. You slide it up to answer a phone call unlike flipping it open. I have had the phone for nearly two years and it was a good change up from a regular cell phone. — The only thing that I had trouble with is sometimes I accidentally slid the phone open and since it is touch sensored, I accidentally called a few people and had no idea I was calling them. That happened quite a bit when I first got the phone. — The number pad is also smaller than a normal phone and the buttons aren't as… read full review »

Yep I bought into the big hype on how great this phone was suppose to be.  I really should of returned it. — First of all the buttons are way to touchy, it calls people that you dont want to call. it is constantly going on the web, when I never use the web. I put a incomplete number as "a' in the contact list so that it will not call people when it is in my pocket or purse. When you are trying to scroll down the contacts, it is so touchy, if you accedently touch the ok button in the middle you are calling someone else. — Second, there is no way I could put music on it, the… read full review »
