LG - Chocolate VX8500 Cell Phone Review

I bought this phone mainly because it was pretty.  I don't need a phone for emails and gps and all that hoopla, but I thought it was really cool it could also be an mp3 player. 

What was not cool was that the software needed to use the mp3 portion is not included with the phone and is somewhat over priced. 

The touchpad is too sensitive, so if you answer the phone and put it up to your ear before it locks back up, you hear a lot of beeps as your cheek pushes buttons on the phone.  It's also very inconvenient when you're talking to an automated service, where you have 'press 1' or 'press 2' a lot. 

I live by a naval base, air force base, major airport and the ocean, all within eye sight.   this phone is the only one i've ever had that works here.  my husband was in the mojave desert last months and was able to get a signal.   I'd recommend it for good service and snazzy looks, but if you're looking for bells and whistles, go somewhere else.
