I've dropped this, beat it up, thrown it around, let it drop in spills and even after all of that, this phone still works brand new, even if it doesn't look brand new hahah. I'd have to say that the battery is a big improvement although the standard always could last me a couple of days. The best thing is that if you turn it on "airplane mode" or one that switches off the antenna ability, this phone will last for quite a while as a music player. Because I bought myself a DROID phone, I tend to use the Chocolate now as an mp3 player and I love it. Heaphones are easy to come by and this phone has features that Ipods or Zunes don't have. For example., I can make "on the fly" playlists and delete music off my phone directly, which is much more convenient to get rid of songs I don't like. Using software just to remove music is such a pain and I don't have the time to write down all the songs I dont like!! Call quality and signal is great and works fine if you're just into using it solely as a phone...

Overall I am very happy with the Chocolate Touch phone. However, one of the best parts of the phone is the long lasting battery.  As the other reviewer mentioned the battery lasts a whole day and sometimes even two on one nights charge. Compared to some of my old phones this is a welcomed surprise. The other phones that I have had would die half way through the day because of the massive amounts of texts that I send. I often send and recieve well over a combined three hundred texts in a single day.  On top of the texting I often use my phone to play games and use the internet.  These are applications that supposedly use up much more battery life than other applications.  I am now on my second chocolate touch (the touch screen on the first one went because I kept the phone in my tight jean pockets) and one of the main reasons I chose to get another is because of the battery.  It is very easy to take out of the phone as most LG phones are.

I got the LG Chocolate Touch in 2009 and LOVE IT. The most impressive thing about the phone is its long-lasting battery. It totally helps up the phone's worth. I charge it at night (sometimes not even every night) and the battery usually only loses one bar of battery between 6:00 in the morning and 4:00 in the afternoon when I get home from work. I also use MSN messenger on it, which is said to use extra battery life. I am a very big texter (I probably send and receive a total of 7,000 messages a month), which also uses battery life, but this battery always holds up very well, and there are days (depending on if I am signed into messenger or not) that I don't even need to charge it at night. The overall quality of this phone is outstanding and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good sturdy phone with a great battery with long-lasting life. It also charges within an hour with one bar of battery life left. Definitely worth the money and this battery is the best I have ever seen.

I PURCHASED MY LG CHOCOLATE TOUCH CELL PHONE FROM VERIZON IN JAN 2010 AND HAVE HAD ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS WITH IT. I LOVE THAT THERE IS NOT KEYBOARD AND THAT IT IS ALL TOUCH SCREEN. THAT IS THE MAIN REASON I GOT IT. THE BATTERY LIFE IS GREAT. I ONLY HAVE TO CHARGE TWICE A WEEK. I HAVE ADDED AN SD CARD TO IT FOR EXTRA MEMORY AND IT HAS CAME IN HANDY. I HAVE MANY RINGTONES AND VIDEOS AND THE SOUND QUALITY FOR BOTH IS EXCELLENT. VERIZON IS A GREAT PROVIDER DUE TO HAVING SO MANY TOWERS, THEREFORE I BARELY EVER LOSE SERVICE. IT CAME WITH 2 INTERCHANGABLE PLATES, WHICH IS GREAT. THE PHONE CHARGER CAN BE PLUGGED INTO THE WALL AND INTO THE COMPUTER, SO A SEPARATBLE USB CABLE DOES NOT NEED TO BE PURCHASED. THIS IS MY FAVORITE AND BEST PHONE I HAVE PURCHASED FROM VERIZON SO FAR. IT DOES GET A LITTLE FRUSTATING TEXTING DUE TO THE TOUCHSCREEN, BUT THAT IS THE ONLY CON. SMALL PHONE DUE TO NO KEYBOARD.

This has got to be the worse cell phone I've ever owned. I would not recommend to anyone. Sorry for the harchness. But this phone is garbage. It works for a while after you get it. And then the screens side beging to shrink in after a while. And you cannot push buttons on the screen making it not usable. I have sent this phone back 3 times and they keep sending m a refurbished chocolate touch. I cannot wait until my contract is up so I can part with this phone for good.

I have had nothing but problems with Verizon. I have had all the LG chocolates and have had to have them all replaced with a refurbished phone of the same type of phone. The phone itself is built like crap. the backing on the phone always falls off. The touch settings are not always accurate and have to be re calibrated all the time. These phones like to shut off randomly. They also do not hold their battery charge and shut off right after charging them. I have also had trouble during the charging. There is a screen that pops up that says downloading.. don not unplug. I have had this screen pop up when my phone was not even plugged in and the phone does not even work after that. So due to all me problems with this phone i recommend NOT going with this phone or Verizon in general. They have horrible customer service!

First of all, I really like the slim and sleek design. It fits in my hand and my pocket perfectly. I also like its silver casing that looks very modern. I really like its long battery life. It lasts me more than couple of days even after going online with my phone. I've had this phone for over a year now and the battery life is still strong. It is very durable even after dropping my phone few times. It also has many cute features like note pads and drawing pads. I can also use touch pen feature instead of using the key pad. Since I'm not a key pad savy, it is much faster for me to use touch pen feature. My daughter also enjoys its drawing pad features to entertaine her for awhile. My only dislike is the video feature. Its recording time is way too short. I'm only able to record about 30 seconds.

I have had this phone for almost a year and I have gone through four of them! The touch screen was very inconsistent and unreliable on the first two models, with one of those models stopping to power up. The third model would automatically turn off on me in the middle of my phone calls! I am on the fourth model and this is actually responding very well! Despite all of those problems, I do enjoy having a touch-screen phone that is callibrated and responds to my touch! In reality, a lot of your satisfaction depends on the quality of serivce that the cell phone service providers offer. For me, in spite of the three models that were dysfunctional, Verizon totally took care of me and refunded my models without any cost to me. Looking back, it was my first use of a "keyless" phone pad so I did not really know what to expect concerning the touch screen, so my first experience was really negative but after having a phone that works, I really do enjoy the phone, you just have to get one that works! :-)

I received the LG Chocolate Touch for a Christmas gift last year and really like it. It is small, sleek, easy to operate, loaded with features and best of all; no data plan required. It has most of the features of a Smart phone, without the costs. One very unique feature is the FM radio. I prefer listening to the radio over MP3s, so this phone has the best of both music worlds. Battery life is excellent. Some of the cons have already been noted by the other reviewers. My main complaint is the vibration is basically non-existant. I keep the phone in my pocket and never feel it vibrate. I guess I should read how to increase or extend it. The touch screen is acceptable, but not the quality of my iTouch. After time, I am fairly proficient writing text messages and navigating around. It does take some adjustment. However, its not a major flaw. Picture quality is decent, but it really needs a flash. I would definitely recommedn this phone.

I am a texter, first off. That is the main thing I use my cellphone for. I wanted a touch screen, and I wish I had done a lot more research on this phone or worked with it a little bit more in the store before I bought it. I played with it in the store and thought that since you could rotate it to use a QWERTY keyboard I would be fine, but it is nearly impossible to properly use this.  First of all, the touch screen is HORRIBLE. Unlike the iPod touch and most other touch screen cellphones, the cellphone is kind of soft, it is flexible. It is better designed for use with a stylus. It is sometimes easier to use with the edge of a fingernail, but it makes quick texting nearly impossible. This is not a good texting phone at all. The T9 and the software for the T9 are horrible, also.  The phone is good if you are just using it to make calls and for an MP3 player. It has excellent speakers and it is great for simple functions. This phone would be great for simple uses, it has a very easy navigation system and it is super easy to use, but texting is just not very easy at all on this phone and I don't recommend it to any texter at all.
