Most HelpfulVerizon LG Chocolate
This month our Verizon phone contracts were up, which means that we got to pick out new phones and renew our contract. Since my Son is on our family plan, it meant he got to pick out a new phone, too. He kept talking about a "Chocolate". The "Chocolate" is so cool. I hope...

Most HelpfulI loved the compact look of the Chocolate Phone and the idea that it acts like your very own iPod was really cool. I soon found out that this phone's usability was awful. If you text message at all, it's nearly impossible to use. The buttons are either extremely sensitive or cannot pick up what you are doing at all. The battery life is AWFUL. I was on the internet on the phone watching video content for a total of 30 minutes before the battery died on me. I HIGHLY suggest against this phone!
The chocolate is an overall good phone with a few quirks I don't like.
I LOVE that is slides open. This is so helpful when I only have one hand available - in fact, this is probably the main reason I got the chocolate. One of the worst phone experiences ever is not being able to pick up a call because it was too hard to flip open the phone with one hand in time.
I don't like the circular control-thing. It's too small and hard to control, always either too fast or too slow. The touch-control aspect of it can be annoying too.
The buttons are a bit small and not so easy to text with.
The Chocolate comes in quite a few stylish colors so a person shouldn't have a problem finding one to fit their personality. I personally chose the baby blue color and it is my favorite thing about the phone. The phone is small enough to easily fit in your pocket. The sliding front makes sure keys aren't mistakenly pushed. The downfalls of this phone however include: it freezes often so you have to keep hitting a button on the phone until it unfreezes. The iPod like turning scroll on the front is very sensitive even if you have it set on the least sensitive setting. And while talking on the...
read full review »When I first got my Chocolate I was cautious. I had had a slider before and liked the feature because the phone is small and sliding it makes it larger and easier to handle. The Chocolate has a lot of features which can complicate things for me -- I want to be able to charge the battery and be ready to go. While the Chocolate was somewhat intuitive to make a call all the other feature require reading the manual. So for the first time I actually read the manual for a phone. It does everything that most good phone can do -- text, connect to the net, camera etc etc. There is a music kit...
read full review »Phone: Service is almost always available (as is with all Verizon phones). Sound is good, but I've noticed echoing with my new phone (I didn't have this problem with my first Chocolate).
Music: I haven't found a way to organize the files any way other than alphabetically, which is disappointing because you can't just set your phone to play through a list. Every time a song finishes, you have to scroll through and find the next song you want to hear. The sound isn't bad for playing through the tiny speakers, but if you want to listen through headphones, you need to get an adapter. ...

I got this phone and use it as a prepaid phone. I don't use it all that much because I have another phone that I use for my main cell phone. Anyways, I never have been able to use this phone without one difficulty. The touch screen keys are kind of cool but I hit every button except for the one I intended to hit. I have had a lot of problems with text messaging on it. I get errors everytime I try to send a text message. I really like the slide style of phone and the color (black) and the music capabilities, but thats about it. The bluetooth works ok on it but I haven't...
read full review »The truth is I'm new to the world of cell phones. For how many years did people give me a blank look when I couldn't give them my cell number?!! But I jumped in with two feet getting the chocolate and immediately became the envy of my 9 year old daughter. The phone came with a nice thick book which I have yet to find time to read. I wouldn't even have a picture on my screen if not for my 12 year old son. I'm not anti-tech, I just don't have the time they do.
I like the flip feature which makes it feel more like a regular phone. The number size is fine for "dialing" but tough for texting...
read full review »I have had my chocolate since around Christmas time, and the first thing I do not like about it is that it slides, which I thought I would like at first, until I figured out that I was hanging up on too many people on accident. The second thing I do not like about this phone is the laser buttons on the face of the phone near the earpiece. I do most of my bill paying on my phone, and every time I try to put in my pin numbers or info they need, I accidentally hit one of those stupid buttons. Also, the mute button is located on the same area of the phone, so when I am talking to someone, almost...
