ive had my phone for 3 years so it may not even be out anymore, except on other sites to buy off of. my battery is still going strong, i may not talk or text alot but there are days when i do. i have even dropped it a few times and still not problems with it

I purchased my Lg vx8600 about six months ago and am so pleased!  The battery life on this phone is incredible!!  I don't live on my cell, but I do use it regularly, and I consistently get two weeks on a charge.  I previously owned a little Samsung phone that I got 1-2 days on, which I used to think was decent, but this phone blows it out of the water!!  The design of this phone is attractive and sleek, and it comes with lots of fun extras that many of the other phones I looked at don't offer.  The consumer reports that I found on this phone were excellent, in fact, far better than the various Motorola phones that are so popular right now.  The only negative that I know of is that the speaker phone is supposedly too quiet.  I never use speaker phone anyway, so I cannot say that this has been an issue for me.  Overall, I would definitely recommend this phone.

i purchased one for me and my teen son so it gets a workout and i can say we have had no problems whatsoever!! very sleek and easy to use!the only thing i wish i knew it did not have a speaker phone when i bought it,other than that no complants,thanks.

I really love this phone. Its sleek, user friendly and attractive. It has great button placement and is comfortable in hand. Verizon could have programed some better features or should I say options in the software but not much you can do about that. The camera feature could be a little better with a flash. but over-all I am very very satisfied and pleased with this phone.

This is a great looking phone, with many bells and whistles. Unfortunately, I rely on speaker phone a lot, and the volume levels on this phone are awful! Recent contact with LG says they are aware of the complaints from users, but there are no upgrades in the near future. Too bad that this phone is on a 2 year contract. On the upside, my teenage daughter thinks it better than her Samsung sch u740!

I don't want a phone that is smarter than I am. I want to be able to make and receive calls, keep track of appointments, and maybe text occasionally. The fact that this phone has an easy to use camera too is a bonus. It does come with a home charger, but not a car charger.

I have had my LG Chocolate for about two years now and I really like it.  The features are easy to use and it seems like I am still finding features that I did not know about.  I use the calculator, tip calculator, calendar, reminder feature most oftne.  I have also used the alarm when I am traveling.  It seems to hold a charge well unless I am doing a lot of texting then the battery goes down pretty quickly.   I like being able to add my photos as wall paper for the inside as well as the outside of the phone.  It is durable too as I have dropped it about 4 times and nothing has ever happened to it as a matter of fact it still looks like new.  The buttons are easy to push and big enough that you aren't pushing two at a time like on some other phones I have had.  The volume range is great too.   The only issue I have is that it can be difficult to flip open if I am in a hurry to answer the phone.  Other than that I love this phone.

This phone has been quite useful for the 2+ years I had it for. Elegant, sleek, and had no problems so far.  The 1.3 megapixel camera didn't give the greatest quality, especially with the better lenses other phones have nowadays.  It was really nice to have an actual keyboard to type on that's not a touch screen. I have an LG Dare now, and it's not the greatest thing to type on - especially when I have no nails! One annoying aspect of the phone is the touch screen on the outside cover. It would unlock and mess around a lot on its own when it's rumbling around in my purse or moving in my pocket. If you're easily annoyed by something like this, you might want to avoid this phone.  The display isn't that amazing. It does look old in comparison to the modern exterior.  Another thing is the sensitivity of the modern exterior. It can be scratched, especially the silver frames on the outside. A simple cover can easily solve this. Otherwise it is a durable phone All in all, great phone if you're careful and patient.

The LG chocolate clamshell is a very durable designed phone.  It has good call volume, great battery life and a decent mp3 player.  The call volume is great and the headset is very comfortable.  The clamshell design makes it very easy to end calls and know that they are definitely finished.  The mp3 player works well, however the touchscreen mp3 controls on the front don't respon very well.  The internet browser on the phone doesn't work very well, but you can use it to connect to very basic sites.  This phone could still be a nice usable everyday phone.  If all you really need is a good tough phone to make call with, then this phone is excellent.  However, in the day of the smartphone, this phone is outdated and lacks many features we now desire.  The lg chocolate is still a great overall phone though.

I love the company LG. They make a lot of good products so I hate to have to give them a bad review but I just dont think they are cut out for making good phones. They make cute phones that look nice but for long term quality they are seriously lacking. I have went thru like 5 of these phones. A few of which insurance covered some of which were still under waranty and some of which I extended my plan. I've had hinges break (said that it was happening to alot of phones and it was a mistake they made in making them), screens crack, phone freeze alot or restart on me, and the charger insert piece breaking off so it wouldnt charge. I actually had the charger insert piece break on alot of my LG phones that I have had, I think they have a little bit of a design flaw in their idea for their phone chargers seeing as how it is a recurring problem I have had and I know some friends have complained about it as well happening to their phones. A for effort LG, but a no go on the phones.
