I have an LG Banter and have used it for almost a year. I love this phone and am so glad that I did not choose another LG phone. This phone is very easy to use and it is straightforward. I promised myself that I would not purchase a phone that I could not figure out while playing with it on the display stand in the store. This Banter is perfect for anyone who is into texting. It has a full slide out QUERTY keyboard, which makes texting a whole lot easier. The QUERTY keyboard is kind of small and the only way I can text is by using my fingernails to push down the letters. My thumbs are too big and they end up hitting the wrong keys when I use them. That is one of the downfalls to this phone, but I don't mind. Another thing that bothered me when I first got it was the keypad for dialing phone numbers. These keys are all smooshed together with very little space in between. Again I run into the problem with my thumb being too big and I end up hitting the wrong numbers. Again this wasn't too big of a deal for me, as I got used to it with time. Overall I find this phone absolutely wonderful and I wouldn't trade it for anything! Design Perfect for text messaging. I love the qwerty keyboard - I would be totally lost without it! Works excellent for all of my needs and I have never hand a problem with it! Great design and awesome durability!

I recently purchased the LG - Banter Cell Phone as a replacement phone. I was personally looking for one with a qwerty board since I was a little scared of a touch screen phone, (I'm 51). After checking out a few different phones with their reviews and with my daughter's push I decided to go with the LG - Banter Cell Phone. I'm really happy that I did, I really enjoy using this phone. It easy and I also used the touch screen for text messages, which I thought I wouldn't be able to do. The only downside I personally had at the beginning is that the phone is a bit heavy, I call it "the Brick". I had been so used to my little clam shell that it was difficult to use "the Brick" becasue I was afraid to drop it all the time. I love it!

It was really affordable, and it came with minutes, so I didn't have to buy any. I prefer to stay away from contracts. The only downfall is that it does not have web access. Overall it is a decent phone.

The LG Banter is a great phone for texting. It has a keyboard that slides out from the phone that is perfect for texting. The only problem with using that keyboard is I am not sure how to do punctuation so if anyone has the phone and knows how I would appreciate feedback. The phone comes in a few different colors. The colors that I know of are a bright blue, purple, silver, and orange. The phone allows a person to change settings, add contacts, take pictures (It has a 1.3 Megapixel camera, if the person is moving in the picture they are a little blurry, but other than that they turn out well and a person can send them to their e-mail or share them at axcessmypics.com), has a axcess shop to get to your favorite apps, and has a web browser. It also can have bluetooth and a person can get a kit to add music to the phone and use as a mp3. Definitely a great phone and I would recommend it to anyone.

I recently got Alltel's new LG Banter cell phone.  It is a great phone for many reasons.  If you like the new slide-out Qwerty keyboard for texting, this phone has it.  I'm not much for texting, but I do use the keyboard to enter all of my appointments into the calendar - this saves me so much time compared to a standard keypad.  The phone also has a 1.3 MP Camera and a micro SD slot so that you can save all of your photos and print them on your computer or at a kiosk at the store.  You can also use the removeable micro SD card to save music.  I haven't tried to save music on it yet, but am excited to try it soon.  This phone is also Bluetooth ready.  All you do is get any bluetooth headset, go into the settings and turn it on, connect and you are ready to go.  This feature is especially helpful when driving so that you can have your hands free - just push a button on the headset and talk.  I love using this. I haven't had this phone very long, but have enjoyed learning to use it.  It is very easy to learn and fun to use. I would definitely recommend this phone to others.

when i first wanted to get a banter lg cell phone my cell phone store did not recommend it because they said they have had some problems with it so i was not sure. i did call around to other united states cellular stores and they said they had not had any abnormal amount of problems with this phone so my daughter and i both got the banter lg phone. i have to say we have not had alot of problems with it and i love the keyboard to type on and the keys are big enough so i can easily type without hitting keys i don't want. i have used some other keyboards on other phones and i am always hitting the wrong key and if they are touch pads and can't seem to get the right key either. i don't use the gps or a few other options available on this phone but i have had it for about a year and really like it and have not had the problems that the first store warned me would be coming with this phone. i would recommend it to anyone.

I have owned the LG Banter for a little over a year now and I haven't had any problems from it whatsoever. It works great. It is very dependable. I especially like the qwerty keyboard. It is a little heavier then my other cellphones I have owned but it's not bad. My cellphone service is through Alltel and my LG Banter came with a silver faceplate and also a really nice blue faceplate So I choose to use the blue one. I didn't know some come with green like other people have said. I'm glad I have the blue one. I have accidently drop my phone several times on our wood floor and it has held up just fine no problems with it at all. It still functions just fine, So I can tell it is made up really well. Like I said earlier it is a little heavier then I was used to at first so that's why I drop it a few times at first. but I quikly got used to it. I was a little disappointed at first when I found out there was no free games on this phone but that's not a big issue. Overall I highly recommend this phone.

I have had the LG banter phone for a year and half. I have the phone under a US Cellular plan. Pros: I really like the query board and easy texting capabilites. I enjoy having this phone with all the features and not having to pay for a data plan. I enjoy being able to add custom pictures to the background. I like being able to download different ringtones to the phone via bluetooth. I like the bluetooth capabilies where it can sync up with my GPS. The screen is clear to see, both on the main screen and in slide out mode. The phone easily slides from phone mode to keyboard mode. Cons: Sometimes it is hard to hear certain people through the earpiece. I have been told occasionally it is hard for people to hear me when the phone is on speaker. The camera capabilities are not all that great. The "My Menu" lost some of it's capabilites from earlier models. Games no longer come free with the phone. I don't like the small data storage. I want to store many text messages but this phone can only handle around 200 - 250 before it becomes full. I have known many people (not myself) who have broken the plastic frame plates around the phone. I wish more color frame plates were made for this model phone. I have only known the green and grey standard colors to be used.

I've had my Lg banter for about a year and a half now and I really like it alot!  The main reason I was attracted to the Banter to begin with was I am a texting maniac. I think Ive have forgotten how it is to actually talk on a phone, lol! But I was never to fast texting on phones with a regular keypad, it always took me forever. My friends could send me 3 text by the time I was done answering their first text and that got irritating to me so when I saw the banter and the sliding keyboard I said now thats the ticket! Thats exactly what I need because I can tear a keyboard slap up! Now my friends cant get a text in edgewise! We having texting battles where we race to get our texts through before the others and alot of time we hit it at same time and our text collide which causes them to just sit there in the sending status. its funny when it does that cause its kinda like a text war that each of us is trying to block the other persons text from being able to come through lol! But about 6 months after I had it it totally went crazy.It stopped letting me view who was calling and it wouldnt keep a calling record so I had people that would call me and if I wasnt right there at my phone when they called Id never know that they did call unless I was to see them and they told me. Then it got worse. It would start repeatly calling whomever had sent me a text or whoever had called or I had dialed on its own and it would do it over and over just letting their phone ring once and then hang up n do it again until I erased whatever number off my phone. Finally the ringer quit working too so I took it to Altell to see if they could fix it and it was still under warrenty so they put in a request for me to get another phone and in about 5 day another phone arrived in mail then all I had to do was put my messed up phone in that same box and affix the postage paid label on it and dropped it inthe mail and returned it to them. The deal with that process was that once they recieved ur old phone theyd check it out and as long as the malfunction was a mechanical malfunction and not a result of owner abuse or water damage then I was allowed to keep the new phone that they ha sent me but if it was found to be my fault then I would have to eturn the new phone back to them or I would be charged for purchasing a new phone. I didnt have any problems getting that replaced and it was rather a neat process they had set up to do it. My new phone works like a champ! I love it!
