I am not going to lie, I was a little more than upset when my husband first brought it home. I did give him the go ahead when he called asking for it, but I was not happy about it. Before this LG 50" HDTV Ready Plasma TV, I only liked LCD flat screens. I loathed the idea of plasma because I have heard that the image of the television can be printed on (or burned) into the screen and that the plasma screens show light reflections, effecting the picture while viewing. Now that I have had this television for a couple of years now, I love it. The 50" screen looks bigger than 50" and is perfect for our living room size. The sound quality on this television is amazing. We have crystal clear sound and have never needed a sound bar. The other thing I like about this TV is that you can connect different types of media via USB on this TV for viewing. In the past two years, I have had television images imprinted on the screen briefly, but the imprint always goes away after a few moments. Also, we have never had too much problem with light reflecting onto the screen either. Overall, it is a great TV that is built to last. I would definitely recommend this one if you are in the market for a plasma television.

I purchased the LG 50PV450 50" HDTV-Ready Plasma TV for my living room and could not be happier with my investment. The feature that I like the most about this television is the fact that it is HDTV-ready. High definition television was a key factor for my family when purchasing a new television. We watch a lot of action and adventure movies and wanted to invest in a television that would really enhance the quality of the images in the movies and television programs we view. Another feature that I really liked about this television is that it walked to through the entire setup process. It helped me connect all of my devices and help me optimize the picture settings based on where we set it up in our home. Overall, I am very impressed with this LG television. It was a wise investment and I highly recommend it to family and friends. My family plans to enjoy it for years to come!

I would rate this TV a 7 out of 10 for these reasons: It is a great functioning TV without any glitches, lag, colour blurriness or errors in anyway. The only downside is that it looks a tiny bit fuzzy if you look closely. Other than that it is a great TV. Definitely worth the price and worth buying! Sound quality is also great! Picture Quality Picture quality would be a good eight out of ten! It can be a tiny bit fuzzy if you look closely depending on which movie you are watching. Other than that great quality! Sound Quality Sound quality is amazing! No problems whatsoever! It does not have 3D sound but it works just fine for normal movies! Durability It seems very durable and hard! It is made of plastic and some parts are metal but it seems very durable and safe! I carried it around my house a couple times and it is also very light! Design Design is very sleek, modern and thin. It looks great almost anywhere! Performance Performance is a ten out of ten because I have had absolutely no problems whatsoever and no errors or glitches or lag have come up. If there is a problem it usually is caused by the DVD/BluRay player.

I researched what type of tv to buy. I had a big screen that died. I needed to get a new one. I was advised that over 30/40" you should get a plasma due to the lines on an LED or LCD. I am so glad I took their advice. I looked at people's ratings, like this one, to see what they said. I saw the reviews on this tv and took their advice. I love it. The menus are so easy to use, the picture fantastic and the sound is better then my blue ray surround sound! Hard to believe but true. Picture Quality The picture quality is so clear you can see the blades of grass in the background. It's amazing, has to be the best picture on a television that I have ever had. The screen size does NOT distort the picture and I believe that is because it is a plasma. You can't go wrong with this tv. Sound Quality The sound quality is better on my television then on my blue ray surround sound. It's crystal clear. You don't have to worry about the sound variations throughout whatever you are watching. Don't waste your money on a surround sound system with this tv. I never use mine! Durability I have a 2 1/2 year old grandson who goes behind it, touches it with googy hands (lol) and wipe it off and you are good to go. No problem! Design The design is sleek and beautiful whether it is on the wall or a stand.mine is on a stand and it's beautiful. Performance Amazing! I wish I could afford to purchase another one for the other room.

We have now had this plasma tv for about two months. We got it as an early Christmas present, specifically in time so we could watch all of the bowl games throughout the holidays as well as the Superbowl. So far, it has served our needs well, we LOVED watching the games in HD as we have not had HD before and love the size of this tv. A couple problems, or complaints that we have and that seem to be common with plasma tvs: First--the glare. This hasn't been much of a problem for us because it is in our basement and we don't have great lighting--I could see it being more of a problem in a well lit room. Another small complaint (I have heard other people complain of this) is that it makes a slight buzzing sound--I never notice when I am watching something, but when it is on the input screen, I hear it sometimes. We got a deal on the tv, so these aren't big deals for me, but are just things to be aware of.
