We got our new LG-42 inch flat panel television a few weeks ago and I just cannot stop looking at it. it is truely a thing of beauty. the design is beautiful and the size is just perfect for our  living room and also the picture is totally crisp and clear. I have not explored all this tv can do because we only just got it a few weeks ago but I am already impressed. I like that there are USB ports on the back so I can plug in my iPod if I wanted too. we have ours mounted on a stand, but we can mount it right on the wall if we wanted to or put it on a stand. the volume is nice and loud and everything is just so dummy prove. I absolutely love it, we lucked out because we picked this up at a sale price but the retail price was really not that bad. LG makes great high quality products and we hope to be enjoying this beautiful television for years to come. I would recommend to anyone in need of it

This is the first LG product I have purchased. I previously had a 27" television. This 42LH40 was very light and something anyone could put together themselves, unless its hanging on a wall like mine is, then you will probably still need some help because of the large overall size of the unit. It looks extremely clear watching blu-rays or High-Definition television. It has 3-4 HDMI ports on the back and the usual (yellow video / red and white) audio ports everyone is used to, incase you need them. The upper model of this television includes yahoo based internet functionality, but I have internet and usually do not stream so I went the cheaper route. My parents actually bought the newer version of this TV as well and they are extremely  happy with it. I'd recommend this TV and brand to anyone looking for an upgrade to their old tube screen television. It looks crystal clear with blu-rays and will also play any videogame system with ease, be it PS3 or Xbox 360. It also can hook up to any computer if you have a to DVI-D to HDMI plug. I also realized it plays the computer music / sound through the television, which is a great plus! Only downside is to hear movies like they should be heard you need a good stereo system to go with it!
