I bought this tv a year ago and haven't had any problems with it.  It still looks brand new and the quality is just as good as any other tv i have seen this size.  I got it fairly cheap (320) online and was a little skeptical until i got it.  It has three usb ports for hooking up external devices to, it has two hdmi ports as well for hd and blu ray.  I can hook my mac up to it and watch movies from their as well.  My xbox 360 hooks up great with the hd component hook up.  The only problem i have seen with it has been the sound.  I hooked up external speakers so I could hear it clearly in my small apartment.  But thankfully it was easy to hook up the externals and get them calibrated for the TV.  I would suggest getting a wall mount for it so you can hang it on the wall without a stand to save room.  It also has a nice energy saving mode for when my roommate likes to leave it on for no apparent reason.
