This is my second LG Washer with the newest one being this model. We purchased one in an old home and left it there for the new owners. when we purchased our new home the washer/dryer in it was Really bad so they were the first appliance to go. We replaced them with this pair and have had happy washing ever since. Would recommend this washer to Anyone! Energy Efficiency Comparing to my old washer which was a whirlpool of some kind, top loading, this one uses much less water and I feel does a better job then the old washer as well. Beings that it does a better job I don't have to rewash items a lot either which saves water and electricity too. I did see a slight drop in the bill once we got it but not a lot. although overtime Im sure it will be a good savings! Cleaning Time I suppose it may take alittle longer then other machines but again if it does a good job who cares! There are shorter cycles if you are in a hurry but for normal washing this does a good job. I also like that the times for the regular cycles on both the washer/dryer are almost the same, although the dryer is a sensor dryer so it usually ends sooner then the washer but that's easy then you can fold the stuff in the dryer before the washer is finished! Performance I love how many stains come off our clothes. I'm sure that has some to do with the soap we use too but I have always liked my front load LG washer for this reason. I also like the options on this one like extra rinse, steam cycle and allergens cycle which I didn't have on my older LG washer. Ease of Use There are a lot of buttons so I do like the hanging quick reference guide if I need to wash something not normal. But for normal stuff its really easy. My four year old love to help with the wash and beyond the soap part she can do the rest. Design Im giving this an 8 only because it doesn't come with the pedestal which I highly recommend. Without it I don't think it would be as "fun" to do laundry! We purchased the pedestal for both machines and it makes life very easy. The drawer is nice too, one keeps the extra soaps and the other one keeps gloves, hats, winter boots etc since our machine is in the back room. Durability Havent had a problem yet and purchased the machine fall of 2012. We had our other LG for ~5 years and never had a problem with it either.

We bought this washer when we bought the house and are very pleased with it. We bought the matching dryer and it does not dry very well unless its a very small load. The washer works great though. I can pack at in the washer and it cleaned the clothes very well. It only uses he detergent and we usually use arm and hammer and it works really well. The washer works very fast and is very energy efficient. It has a lot of settings to fit what you need. It makes a lot of noises and is very loud so I can hear it when it is done which I love. It is very quiet when it is running though and doesn't have a lot of vibration. It's a wonderful washer.
