Don't be surprised if the Star Wars Death Star ll Lego set is on your kid's Christmas list this year. Though this Lego set is more of a collector's item and is labeled for ages 16 and up, kids can't help but be in awe of the Star Wars Death Star II.
Fans of the Star Wars movies will love putting together a Lego version of the galaxy's ultimate battle station. The set includes more than 3,000 lego pieces and a stand to build the sphere on.
Parents of Star War's fans know that cheap Lego sets are nonexistent and these toys are in high demand. Most Star Wars Lego sets are aimed at kids ages 8 and up and range from $19.99 for the small sets to $100 for the larger sets and ones that include rare figures. Parents will be in sticker shock, however, if they seek out the Star Wars Death Star llfor their child. They cost costs roughly $280-300.
The Star Wars Death Star ll is likely advised for fans 16 and up because of the difficulty level. The instructions are complex and assembling the set takes many hours of concentration.
Perhaps adult Star Wars fans and collectors are better suited to receive such a gift. Collectors, however, have been disappointed in the set because of it's poor construction. The problem with the Star Wars Death Star llis that once it is constructed all the Lego's are on one half of the model, weighing it down and making it difficult to balance.
