We got these as my baby girl's first lego set when she was one year old. She loved it. The colors attracted her and kept her busy to be creative and to use her imagination. Even today she still play these even though she also has the regular legos now. At three and a half years old it is still fun for her. They are perfect size for their little hands.

I really like the Lego ultimate building set. It was a hit with my kids as well. Lego is usually very expensive and this was a pretty good deal for what you got. I liked the container that it came in and the lid. It was easy to store away and I didn't have to buy a separate bin to store things in at first. There was a good variety of Lego pieces in the container and a good variety of colors. These Legos really promotes creativity in children and encourages them to use their imagination. Legos have been around for a long time and I can see why. They are fun for kids and they love playing with them at all different ages. I find myself building things sometimes on my child's Lego table. I love when my child comes up to me excited because they wanted to show me what they had made. They are so proud of their creations! This is a good starter kit. This also makes a good gift. I thought that this was a good deal. I would buy it again!

These Duplos are great for young children to help them develop both their fine motor skills and their intellectual and problem solving skills. A child as young as one year old can begin playing with them, and they are plenty large enough to eliminate any fear of choking. These Duplos have provided countless hours of fun and bonding time for our family. This particular set gives several different types and shapes of pieces, providing opportunity for one to use his imagination and develop all sorts of fun things to play with. The included animals also help a young child learn what some basic animals are. All in all, this is a wonderful tool to help in the education of a small child. The one drawback is that these Duplos may become all consuming and distract from other toys that the child has. Our oldest son will sometimes play with these all day while ignoring every other toy that he has.

The Lego Duplo Ultimate Building Set is the first Lego Duplo set I bought for my children. It's a great set for those starting out with Lego Duplo's. There is a good variety of blocks making it easy to build many different things. The container they come in is great for storing the blocks. I would recommend as a first set or even as an add-on set. My kids love building with these.

My son received this lego set for his first birthday, which i believe that the box tells you age oen and a half but we just took watched him and took away anything that was too small and that he was prone to putting in his mouth. he absolutly loves them and 2 years later has added to his duplo collection. these legos are great for little ones, it really encourages their creativity and hand cordination. Also the little tub this set coems in is great for holding not only this set but we have managed to fit in quite a few more sets as he has receiived mroe. my husband was really into legos as a child and i remember having my very own duplo set and it is so fun to pass this fun activity onto our son. duplo legos are so durable and i prefer them to the megablocks as i have found those to be flimsy. this set comes with all the basics you need to start your childs lego collection off to a good start.

For Christmas, my 18-month old received this Duplo set, and she LOVES it. The pieces are just the right size for her small hands, and easy to click together. She loves building towers with this set, and can easily put together the pieces and take them apart without help. The tub is a convenient way to store the set and keep the pieces all together; my only complaint is that the top is hard for her to open, and she needs an adult to help her pop it off. There is a good variety of pieces and colors in this tub, though I do wish there were more pieces. It comes with a window that opens and closes (you will have to put the window together before giving it to your child), some Duplo flowers, a Duplo person, and a little car with wheels, which makes it easy for your child to make themselves a little house and car and garden area for imaginiative play. I would definitely recommend Duplo to other parents out there--great toy!

I LOVE that the LEGO Duplo Ultimate Building Set comes with it's own storage container! All of the pieces easily fit into the container and it makes it so much easier to keep everything in one place. Thank you so much LEGO! I purchased one of the LEGO Duplo Ultimate Building Sets for my 2 1/2 year old son for Christmas (his older brother enjoys playing with LEGOs and he wanted LEGOs just like his big brother). We were easily able to fit another LEGO Duplo set into this storage container. This is wonderful, as we are easily able to keep the two LEGO sets separate. There are a variety of blocks and pieces in the Ultimate Building Set, so there are many fun things to create and to build. The only disadvantage to this set is that the box gives the appearance that there are many more blocks included in the building set than are actually included. The one other downside for my family is that our son has decided to make the car bases into roller skates (definitely not LEGOs intention or fault!). Good product overall and I would recommend it!

LEGO DUPLO building sets are a nice transition toy for younger children to begin learning how to build, how to use concrete objects to play pretend with and so on. they are colorful and offer children the chance to play imaginatively. It may seem too big for building detailed things and this is true. Lego Duplo are probably best for those not too young to be able to enjoy them. My children love playing together with these toys. I have found that my older child can incorporate the duplo blocks quite easily with his smaller, regular lego bricks. My younger child especially has fun when her older brother plays legos with her. If you are not familiar with Lego duplo sets, basically they are just oversized legos, larger than regular legos in order to help younger children be able to grasp them (not choke on them if they put them in their mouth) build easier, deconstruct easier, and so forth, so that they too can enjoy the fun of building with legos.

My son received the Duplo ultimate building set when he was two years old.  Now almost two years later he still plays with it several times a week.  It is a great basic set.  When combined with other duplo sets the creative possibilites are endless.  The blocks are easy for little fingers to use, and they are good for developing fine motor skills.  The high quality and durability of Duplo blocks ensures that they will last through many children.  A man is included in this building set to encouarge imaginative play.  This is a great starter set because it has a lot of regular building pieces and there are many easy to build projects pictures on the tub.  I also like that this set comes in a very durable tub that is great for storing the blocks.  Once your child's Duplo collection grows he will still use these basic building pieces in combination with new sets he or she may get to create even more things.  Because play with Duplos is constructive they can keep my son entertained for hours.

My daughter received this Duplo Lego set for Christmas this year!  She is two years old and really enjoys toys and games that challenge her a bit.  This Lego set does just that- she enjoys using her imagination to build with the Legos and make different things. This set comes with a nice variety of colored Legos: green, light green, brown, black, blue, light blue, red, and yellow!  This colorful set also helps my daughter identify her colors, something that we have been working on with her.  This set also has a nice variety of lego pieces: small pieces, large pieces, skinny pieces, a lego man, and a lego car.  The container is also very handy- it has plenty of room to fit all of the pieces- even if they are not all taken apart after a building session.  It would also fit some more legos, if we decided to purchase her additional sets.  The legos are very sturdy and easy for little hands to use.  overall, i would highly recommend this set for a little child who is just getting started with their Lego collection!
