Allows for his imagination to kick in, with two or more, he can interchange parts, make up new characters. It keeps him busy for hours on end. When he buys this with his allowance it is all his and means more to him. Even though there are small pieces it is a good exercise for him to build the character. Makes him read and understand the directions which is also good.
It teaches him to be patient, to overcome any obstacles he may encounter to get his "man" built. This is also beneficial, and will aid him as he gets older.
