LA Weight Loss Centers —

I had love handles to lose, not rolls.  this info is important because i spent 1500 dollars on their program.  But at the end of 15 weeks, i did lose 20 pounds.  they start out by advertising "7 dollars a week program."  but then when you go for their free consulation, they take your weight and ask you for your goal weight.  Then they say youll lose 2 pounds per week on theyre program and do some multiplying. so, to lose 30 pounds, you are already up to 105 dollars.  then, they tell you that their program can not work if you dont buy their "metabolim boosters."  (more like diet pills)  so you buy 1 bottle for each week (and if you buy enough for all your weeks then you get a discount) and i think it was 40 dollars a bottle if i remember?  so for 30 pounds = 15 weeks, 15 weeks of pills = so your at another 500 dollars.  so i said id think about it, went to walk away and the lady said if money was an issue, they have a CREDIT CARD I could apply for.

At this point, I want to note that these people that work here all say "LA Weight Loss worked for me and thats why i am so proud to tell you about it." but now i realize that they are all trained sales people to say that.  SUPER pushy, and they can talk you into almost anything.

well, i caved and spent already 600 dollars and applied for their credit card.  The plan calls for you to come in 3 times a week to get weighed and have a consulation.  All they do though is weigh you, and then you sit at one of their empty cubicles that are supposed to look like their individual desks, and they check mark for you what you ate every day.

And after 2 "consulations" they then proceeded in their sceme.  You would think i spent enough for their program right?  well the lady says "you only lost 1.5 pounds this week, are you sure your doing everything we told you too, just as the food menu is written?"

i reply yes,

and then she says "well then, we need to do more because your program is not doing enough for you and at this point, you wont want to waste the money youve invested in losing weight.  You're going to want to purchase our protein bars and proteins shakes for a bigger impact.  If you buy enough for the whole program, you can get the bars for only 14 dollars a box and we can add them onto your credit card. theres 14 in a box, so there "only" cost 1 dollar a bar" and you eat 2 a day so its 14 dollars a week and will massively improve your plan. and they keep adding "youve already invested so much in this plan already, you wouldnt want to not get the most out of your plan"

i know youre probably thinking that i am dumb to fall for this, but you have no idea how pushy and persuading these sales women are.

when i signed up, they said if i accomplished my goal, they would reinburse me 100 dollars. after the 15 weeks, i lost 20 pounds, which i thought was great. but since my plan was for "30 in 15 weeks" i did not reach their reinbursment agreement. (of course not)

At the end of the 15 weeks, they told me to keep it off, im going to have to buy more "metabolism boosters" (diet pills) and that if i dont, that im risking gaining back the weight i worked so hard to take off.  so of course after persuation, i was talked into buying 3 months werth of boosters.  another 500 dollars.

i felt so dumb, and having complete buyers remorse.

i went to my moms house and she asked me how my last weigh in went.  i told her about buying more pills and i said i felt i was pushed.  i know i sound really dumb, and it really is my fault for falling for this.  but i was persuaded. kind of like when you take your car into the shop for an inspection, and buy the end of the appoinment theyve told you you need all this work done.

My mom took me back there and demanded i get my money back and they said that they can not do returns on their boosters because they are pills, and its not ok to do returns on pills. (and the bottles were sealed closes)

and after looking at the pill bottles closer, the pills are not FDA approved! and i have had them in my body for 3 months.

all said and done, this DIET costed me 1500 dollars. after about 8 months, and i had gained back the entire 20 pounds (probably because i was not on their diet pills anymore)

They advertised it as a "life change," and not as a diet.  So im stuck wondering, if this was supposed to be a life change, does that mean in order to keep the weight off they expect you to eat their pills and protein bars THE REST OF YOUR LIFE to keep off the weight?

HOX!
