Last school year my grandson went through 3 back packs. These 3 weren't necessarily "cheap", when added together the cost was much more than the 1 L.L.Bean Book Pack! The LL Bean super deluxe book back pack TA48224 is the back I will review here. The back pack to write home about, I am not sure. I purchased this back pack for my sixth grade son who is 11 years old. I had this L.L.Bean jr backpack when i was in grammar school, I used it for 3 years till it was time to throw out due to it being dirty/stained. This backpack was a great choice it was very durable,and strong built. All my homework could fit in the backpack without any problems. Although i paid a little more for it then a backpack you'd find at walmart, i think it was totally worth it. The only reason i parted with it in my fourt year was due to the staining that we couldnt seem to get out.

This backpack costs a little more than others but it is totally worth it.

I bought my daughter a LL Bean Backpack for school. That was 5 years ago. She is still using the backpack and it still looks great. Other than an occassional washing, nothing else is needed. No broken straps, busted zippers or spliting seams like with all other backpacks we have tried in the past. This is the only backpack I would recommend and for them to also offer a lifetime guarantee if something did happen to go wrong with it, what else could you ask for?

Two years ago I bought my grandson who was 7, a LLBEAN backpack, he is starting on his third year, still looks like new....My granddaughter who is starting in the first grade requested a backpack like her brothers.  Ordered it a week ago, arrived by UPS within 5 days.  She is excited to have a BeanBag as he calls it.  These are gauranteed to last...You can't beat that quality and service.

The L.L. Bean Super Deluxe Book Pack TA48224 is a durable, high quality, and nice looking backpack.  originally I purchased this for school use, but soon found that it was good for hiking and other activities as well.  Can support at least 20 lbs in weight.
