L A Weight Loss is a scam. I joined L A Weight Loss "convinced" by the so-called "trained counselor" I would lose weight. After spending $600 to sign up, I was then pressured into purchasing supplements, LA lite bars and weight loss drinks. I was not told I would be required to purchase anything additional to "aid" me in my weight loss. I called LA Weight Loss to cancel my membership, hoping I could get some of my money refunded.( I decided to cancel my membership because I was starving on the plan, it was too expensive, I hated the high pressure sales, and I am about to have surgery and money is tight.) I was told by a "counselor" she would forward my folder to her manager and the manager would call me back. A week went by and I did not receive a phone call. I called the center again and fortunately the Area Sales Manager answered the phone. I explained my situation to her and specified that I do not want to come back to the center. Plus I am having surgery and would be recovering for 6 weeks. I was asked if I would like to come back to the center after 6 weeks. I told her I would not. She actually had the nerve to ask me, If you don't mind me asking what kind of surgery are you having?" I told her, "I do mind you asking and I'm not going to tell you." The Area Manager continued to convince me that if I came in I would get the help I needed to lose weight. I asked her what her definition of help was because the times I had been there were a waste of my time. All I received before was a weigh in and then reading through my food diary and then trying to sell me more product. She told me that I would get behavior modification, counseling, etc. She told me the I would have to pay the $149 registration fee plus all weeks up to my sign up time until I canceled. She said, "It is just like a gym membership, you pay up until the day you cancel it regardless if you use the gym or not." I firmly told her I should not have to pay for the stabilization and maintenance phase if I never reached my goal weight. In order for her to get me off the phone she told me she did not have all my information in front of her and she will call me back on Monday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed she calls me and tells me what I want to hear. If she does not I am prepared to take this to the corporate level. Save your money and do not fall for L A Weight Loss!!!!!!

I can't believe, anybody could be that arrogant! thank you very much for the warning. I only hope, you'll win your battle. Hope to hear from you again. Good luck! Lessia.
This place is a joke. Their 'diet' is a form of starvation. I couldn't believe their 'meal' plans what a rip! 12 grapes and 3 triscuits for breakfast??
