Most people would probably not consider me to be the "standard" Kuma's corner customer - it is a heavy metal music playing, biker bar that happens to serve gourmet hamburgers. And let me tell you - not just any gourmet hamburgers - the best of the best ( although i do not eat meat, my husband is a meat afficionado and literally thinks these are the best hamburgers in Chicago! ) Anyway, back to my review, the menu lists 15 different gourmet burgers, all of which you can substitute with a veggie burger or a chicken breast. I had the Matadon which has bacon, cheddar cheese, frizzled onions ( very thin fried onions ) and bbq sauce. I eliminated the bacon and cheese, and added avocado. By the way, all burgers are served on a pretzel roll ( in case you thought it couldn't get any better...). Seriously, the best veggie burger ever! It is truly delicious! It tastes like a real burger! You can get homemade chips( worth every calorie ) or fries or a side salad ( very fresh and delicious ). You must go early - we have been twice, and when we went at 5, we waited 1 hour, and the same happened when we went at 5:30. I have only been on a saturday night, so i don't know what other days and nights are like. It is located on Belmont, just west of Elston. Everyone should try it - i can't imagine anyone not loving it!
