Kuma's Corner is an off the beaten track but worth the trip bar/restaurant with killer hamburgers of every imaginable type and some pretty cool head banging music. (yes, as a 38 year old parent I was completely not the typical customer, but who cares?) Despite the great music, the food (and beer!) is the main attraction. Case in point: their signature burger which is a Bacon, Cheddar and Fried Egg burger. Yes, you heard that right. Breakfast and lunch and one sitting! My friend ordered this one and cleaned his plate with it.
I ordered the "NEUROSIS" which is Cheddar, Swiss, Sautéed Mushrooms, Caramelized Onions, Horseradish Mayo. It was outstanding! I happen to be a big fan of pretzel rolls which made this nearly the perfect burger. Fries were very good, but not as amazing.
They had an IPA on tap that was absolutely awesome. I had three just to make sure... Smooth, full bodied, very flavorful. I cannot find it on the web site so I am going to have to go back!
We got there at five o'clock on a Friday night and waited 40 minutes so be prepared for the wait.
I also have to say, I love the sensibility express in this bit of wisdom they impart on their menu and web site:
"TRAVEL MORE, AND STOP SPENDING MONEY THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY CRAP THAT YOU DON'T NEED TO IMPRESS PEOPLE WHO DON'T CARE .Go to "CAPS" meetings in your neighborhood, Vote locally and Make a difference in your community, instead of boring the PEOPLE AROUND YOU with your insane theories about military involvement in parts of the world that you're unable to even point to on a map. Take a moment to discover some great local bands like "Minsk", "Indian", "raise the red lantern", "millions", "LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR", "SWEET COBRA", "PLAGUEBRINGER", AND THE ALMIGHTY "MACABRE". IF YOU'RE DESIRING MUSICAL ENLIGHTENMENT, EXPLORE THE CATALOG OF "SEVENTH RULE RECORDS". A CHICAGO LABEL! PLACE THOSE AROUND YOU BEFORE SELF AND LIFE WILL NEVER BE A DISSAPOINTMENT.

Death to Miller and Budweiser...they are over-produced and inferior products that prevent passionate craftsmen from sharing their gifts with all of us. "
