They are very good, but not that easy to make

I looked at the box in the store, back says "You'll need: 1/3 Cup Water, 3 Eggs". At home, the FINE print instructions say you need Graham Cracker Crumbs, Sugar, Cream Cheese, and Vanilla. Had almost those things at home, just had to go back to store for Cream Cheese. The simple 1,2,3,4 instructions do not flow with the FINE print instructions. Messed up the first box, wrote down instructions and corrected them adding own notes from first attempt. Made the second box, and happy with end product. I suggest the company re-do the box starting with in bold what you REALLY will need to make them, and then rewrite instructions for someone that has not had cooking classes and knows things not included in those instructions. Otherwise we enjoyed the Lemon Bars. I am not an employee, no free sample, I would recommend but hand them the corrected list of ingredients and instructions. And I still do not understand why all reviews I read, say that everything is in the box!

Such a decadent treat!

We are big fans of Lemon bars at my house, and they are not easy to make! Thankfully, Krusteaz does almost all of the work for me! One packet in the box contains the crust ingredients. Just press the crumb mixture into your pan! You do not have to worry about making crumbs and mixing butter to make a crust. So easy! The other packet contains the lemon mixture. Just follow the directions! Easy as pie! After they are done baking we sprinkle confectioner's sugar on top! These lemon bars are so decadent and delicious. The lemon tastes so fresh and tangy! I make these for family gatherings or parties and everyone thinks that I spent hours in the kitchen, squeezing lemons and preparing this amazing dessert! Everyone wants my recipe. They can't believe it when I tell them that it was a box mix! I love the fresh, homemade taste!

Most amazing Lemon Bars!

These lemon bars themselves are amazing. However, there is an extra tidbit- the back of the box always has the same recipe for adding a layer of cheesecake to the lemon bars which is one of the most amazing desserts I've ever had. I've baked brownies and cookies for years. Lemon bars are nice because they are not as common and it is always nice to have something different. If you are up for the twist, I would definitely recommend adding the cheesecake layer. It is so delicious! I took them to work once, and by the end of the day I had so many requests for the recipe that I photocopied the box the next day and gave them to everyone I work with!

Lemony goodness in every Krusteaz lemon bar bite! Loved it!

The Krusteaz Lemon Bars mix was so simple to make!  The mix came in two different pouches.  The first pouch contained the crust which I simply poured in the pan and pressed down - no additional ingredients were necessary.  The second pouch contained the lemon mix which did need additional ingredients (see the box's back panel) and took a little longer to stir.  It was worth it, though!    It smelled delicious while baking and was so tempting to cut into while it cooled. I resisted, though, following the directions on the box, placed the pan in the fridge, and waited a few hours (to make it easier to cut into).    Sprinkling powdered sugar over the top of the bars perfectly matched sweet flavors with tart.  It was a wonder that the bars lasted the 12 hours they did with all the snitching my family did. I'd leave the room for five minutes and another bar would be gone. At least I had the first bar!   I can't wait to buy some more to make and enjoy their gooey lemony goodness!

High Recommendations from a home baker!

I have always been very critical of 'boxed and bagged' baked goods, because I am a from-scratch cook and baker. Even so, there are times when I just don't have the luxury of 2 or 3 hours to put into home baked items. Years ago, I tried Krustreaz muffin mix because I really needed something "quick and filling" for a breakfast I was hosting. Holy cow, was I ever surprised by the homemade taste of the product. I make lemon bars from scratch. They are my dad's absolute favorite bar cookie in all the world, so again, I am going to be a critic of any prepared boxed mix. Krusteaz Lemon bars are absolutely delicious and taste 'fresh' and I can't find a single complaint about this product. I have not tried the cheesecake recipe another review had such great things to say about, but that doesn't mean I won't. :) Overall, the Krusteaz brand **tastes homemade**, is not that terribly expensive, and all the instructions and included recipes are easy and not time consuming. Try them all! You won't be disappointed!
