The first time I used this grinder, I turned the handle to "medium" grind for 10 cups.  I actually got very fine, espresso-style grind for 2 cups and then it jammed.  I had to dump all of the beans out and pour them back in, but it still gave me very fine grind and only a few cups worth before jamming again.

I took it back and got another of the exact same model, thinking it was a fluke.  Wrong.  The second one does the same thing.  I have the lever turned to the coarsest grind and the max. number of cups, and I just pound it whenever it jams.

I recently tried to grind my herbs with it, and since I like them to be very fine, it worked well.  However, $70 is a bit much to spend on a herb-grinder/irregular coffee grinder.

Thanks for the review! If the Krups is like the Baratza Solis Maestro Plus Grinder (according to the manufacturer), it may not work on good, fresh, oily coffee beans. How crazy is that?!?!
