I hate this grinder
I wanted to replace a broken coffee grinder and purchased this based on great online reviews. Well, I hate it. First, it's messy. The beans go into the grinding cylinder with a clear plastic cup on top to close it. Then when ground, the plastic cup opens up & off, but grounds fall out all over the place. There is no neat way to get the grounds out. The grinding process itself is like a mini-food processor; a blade whirles around and pulverized the bean and you end up with an inconsistent grind. Not useful for my keurig nor my french press. I used it twice and now it's taking up space in my cabinet and I am grinding my beans at Whole Foods to get a good consistent size. I'm only keeping it because we may use it occasionally for whole spices, when the size isn't important. My last complaint is that it is really, really loud. It is a very unpleasant high-pitched noise. If you want an inexpensive, basic grinder and aren't picky about the consistency of the grind, this will work. Otherwise, as I've discovered, you get what you pay for so look at higher end products.
