I've had this a few years, and it works great. I use this more than my regular oven since I cook for 2 its perfect and I don't have to heat up the house. I don't have a toaster so this has replaced that appliance and it's equally good for baking and broiling.

Krups toaster oven saves so much time!

It takes forever for my full sized over to warm up, so I use this little oven constantly. I have had it probably 2 years and it is still just as good as new. It heats up quickly, and cooks evenly. I reheat almost everything in it with great results. It is perfect with an impatient toddler!! I have not ever tried using the convection over feature, mainly because I have never had access to one and I've never taken the time to learn about it. After reading some of these other reviews I think I will finally take the time to look in to it!! The crumb tray is very easy to keep clean, and I love the adjustable racks. You cannot walk away for long while in use though, because this oven is so quick you may burn your food!! I have had several other different name brand toaster ovens in the past, not cheap ones, but fairly pricy ones that never ever worked right or that broke rather quickly. This one is FAR superior to any other I've ever purchased. I highly recommend this oven.

Would give it 6 stars if I could!

I love my Toaster/Convection oven!  We live in an area with very expensive electric bills, so anything that uses less energy is a huge plus for us.  Plus the faster cooking time is wonderful (who doesn't need more time?) With the Krups Toaster/Convection oven you have a lot of different options: Toast, Broil, Bake, or Convection Bake.  Like another reviewer said it is hard to get used to the shorter cooking times.  You have to really watch when you're making something using the convection feature for the 1st time.  But once you know how long to put something in for, it's so convenient! We also use the convection feature for defrosting bread.  It's really fast and doesn't toast it (unless you leave it in too long). There are two racks, but we haven't had much luck using both at the same time because the oven is pretty small.  But I really haven't needed to use both racks at the same time, so that doesn't bother me. When and if this one ever dies, we will definitely get another one.  We wouldn't want to live without it!

The Krups Toaster Oven is a very convenient appliance!

The Krups FBC412 Toaster Oven is the most-used small appliance in my kitchen. In addition to making very excellent toast -- the most simple measure of any toaster oven, of course -- I use to reheat, bake, and broil many food items and even some complete meals. The appliance is small enough to fit easily even on small counters and makes up for the space used by being so useful! As a single mom of one child, I make smaller meals and need to make them quickly. The Krups Toaster Oven heats up quickly (no waiting for the big oven to pre-heat) and can bake a couple of pieces of fish or chicken easily. I almost never use the big oven for baking potatoes, sweet potatoes, or smaller portions of any dish. With some smaller baking dishes (many regular pans/dishes are too large), you can make baked pasta dishes, frittatas, brownies, and the like without heating up your whole kitchen. My only (small) complaints with the Krups Toaster Oven are that when it gets even a little bit dirty (with bread crumbs especially), it very quickly has trouble toasting well and evenly. You absolutely must clean it often for good performance. Also, after two years of daily use, the start/stop button is starting to be a little finnicky. It still works, but I am concerned about its longevity -- though it may just need cleaning as well. Overall, I'd highly recommend this product for its usefulness, quality, and durability. It's one small appliance I couldn't be without in my kitchen.

The Krups toaster oven is the best we've found since GE.

When GE stopped making their toaster ovens it seemed like an era was over.  We bought new toaster ovens once a year, giving up when they stopped toasting well (the most common problem) or proved uncleanable or just stopped working. We finally decided to spend the extra money and try the Krups toaster/convection oven.  It most definitely is worth the extra money.  We have had it for almost 4 years and it still works adequately.  We are noticing that the bottom toaster filiment is not working as well but not bad enough to consider buying a new one. Quite honestly we do not trust the oven for anything beyond baked potatoes.  The door does not fit tight enough to guarantee the heat temperature.

Once you get used to the faster cooking time, it totally ROCKS!

Once you get used to the faster cooking time, it totally ROCKs!  It takes a little experimenting to gifure out whether you need/want to reduce the temperature or keep a closer eye on what you are doing and cut cooking time. Great counter top model, cooks quickly and faster than I had any idea that it would. It does get a little warm to the touch on the outside sometimes.
