Krups F654 waffle maker Review

There's only so much you can expect from a basic waffle maker, and the Krups F654 doesn't disappoint.

If you're looking for something complicated or want to make designer waffles -- if those exist -- this is not your unit. If you're looking for your basic, crispy and delicious waffles, this is all that you need.

For the price (we paid $50; technically nothing since it was purchased with a gift card), it's hard to ask for much more than this product provides. There could certainly be improvements made -- browning level options, doneness beep/sound, automated timer and the like -- but this unit will reliably give you the kind of breakfast product that you're looking for.

A few recommendations: If you're using a waffle mix, use a little less oil than required. Other than being healthier, this will cut down on the greasiness of the finished product. Also, be sure to spray down the waffle maker liberally before use. Otherwise, I can't imagine you'll have any qualms with your breakfast, as long as you know what you're looking for from the start.
