I would buy this again and again

The thing I love the most is that there is no burner, so your coffee doesn't keep cooking. And if you have the one with a glass carafe it won't explode if it gets left.

Good coffee maker

3

This is our second Krups 10-Cup Thermal coffee maker. This is good as previous one we bought more than 20 years ago, but thermal pot does not hold heat as old one. Usually my husband makes coffee for us about 1.5 to 2 hours before I wake up and coffee is still very hot. If I decide to drink coffee later than that it gets warm and that is the only down side of this product. To make coffee it is so easy. For some reason we don't use a program at all. We like to pour coffee and water just before we make it for fresh taste, we believe. As you know 10 cups are for small cups. We use regular mugs, so often run out of coffee after two cups each on the weekend because we drink a lot. But this is a normal, so I don't complain much. Because it's thermal and we use different pitcher to pour water, we don't have to worry about cracking a glass pot. We can never go back to a glass pot after trying thermal pots for over 20 years. Coffee filters are regular size, so it's easy to find it at any stores. Size two used to be rare, but it seems it's a regular size. This coffee maker has been a good for us and we have to have it every morning. Our first Krups thermal coffee pot lasted for over 15 years and we expect this one to last for 10 years or more. Ease of Cleaning Mouth of thermal pot is big enough for me to put my right hand to clean well.

Krups coffee maker the easiet neatest maker I have used

4

I have used several coffee makers before.  The Krups fmf5 has been my favorite.   I had another brand of coffee maker before and it broke the first week.  The krups is very durable and easy on the eye.  The black and stainless steel design goes great with my kitchen.  I don't have to worry about seeing a dingy or stained glass pot. The coffee maker has many programs.  Lucky for me it has a quick 1-2 cup setting.  That is the only program that I use.  That setting is great and I can have a quick cup of coffee almost before I have all my utensil ready.  It also has an automatic cut-off feature, that way you never have to worry about burning up your pot or turning the coffee maker off.  The stainless steel pot is easy to clean.  The only drawback I have noticed was that it is hard to get every drop of coffee out of the pot. But that is really not a big deal.  One extra ounce of water solves that problem.

Krups FMF5 is a great coffee maker for those on a budget.

The Krups FMF5 is a very good coffee maker which some nice features. On other sites, I have seen some terrible reviews for this product but this coffee maker works fine for me. It doesn't spill over and the coffee does not smell of plastic. I've never noticed any leaking either. The coffee stays hot in the carafe for about 4 hours. I purchased a permanent coffee filter although paper filters work fine as well. The LCD screen is a nice feature as well. It allows the user to program a specific time which the coffee maker will automatically start brewing the coffee each day. I love this feature. It's so nice to wake up to a hot cup of joe in the morning. I'm not a coffee snob and I only drink Folgers so no gourmet expensive brands for me to try out on this machine.

Makes great coffee

Hi- This coffee maker is only the second one I've ever owned, and I say it does the job perfectly.  No fuss, no mess.  It's not complicated to use and makes up to 12 cups.  It has an off/on switch, but not is automatic. It also comes in two different colors, white or black.  I went with the white, because it matches my kitchen better.  But to have the choice of a color is nice, when you want to coordinate.  It also, doesn't take long to brew. Also, the pot this coffee maker has, is easy and convenient to use.  Simply fill the pot, and pour into maker, but remember to always use nice cold water, it always makes coffee taste better.  And you can choose how many cups you want to make, by filling water to the correct level. I have had this coffee maker for awhile now, & have never had a problem with it.  It works great, cost is affordable, and does the job well.  If you want a fast, convenient coffee maker, with out paying a fortune, consider this Krups coffee maker. Thanks.

Krups makes an excellent coffee maker

Krups has a variety of products. I started with a grinder, which was reasonably useful. Based on that positive experience, I would up buying a Krups coffee maker. I was impressed by its attractive stainless steel design. It looks like a reliable product, and I thought it would be a first-rate product. Krups has met my expectations. The coffee maker is fairly easy to use. Inserting the filter is quite simple. You do need to be careful when pouring the water. Many coffee makers make it easy to use the pot or carafe to measure the water. With the Krups coffee maker, I need to lift a lit in the back. It's a lot easier to use a measuring cup. I need to be careful, otherwise I could spill some water on the counter. The coffee maker doesn't brew quickly, but I'm very satisfied with how well the coffee is brewed. The panel isn't particularly intuitive, but it's easy to identify the "on" button. Be sure not to lose the instruction manual. One huge upside is its reliability. I've had the machine for several years, and I expect it last several more. One downside is the stainless steel pot. The pot will overflow if you forget to empty it!
