Kroger Pharmacy Prescription Medicines

www.kroger.com/generic

For years I have been filling prescriptions at either CVS pharmacy or Walgreen's pharmacy depending on which was more convenient while I made my rounds running errands.  In addition to filling prescriptions, I was also having lots of photographs developed at CVS or Walgreen's pharmacy.  Now that I have discovered Snapfish.com, I 've said good bye to their photo centers.

Recently I noticed that Kroger offered a $4.00 generic prescription medicine plan.  One of my prescriptions that we fill monthly was almost $8.00 using my prescription drug card at both CVS and Walgreen's but I wondered if my prescription would be on the list of $4.00 prescription medicines from Kroger.  It was. So I was paying half as much for prescriptions and having them filled while I get my groceries so it saves me additional trips to drop off and pick up from drug stores.

Then I noticed something.  Kroger's generic prescription plan offers a 90 day supply for $10.00.  My prescription had always been written for 90 days by my physician but my drug prescription card would only allow it to be filled for 30 days at a time.  So instead of paying almost $24.00 and making three trips, I can fill the same prescription at the Kroger pharmacy for $10.00 and not refill it for three months.  Thank you Kroger.  This saves me money and time.

The Kroger Pharmacy Prescription Medicine Plan has over 300 generic prescriptions on the list that are only $4.00 for a 30 day supply and the list has recently been added to.

The Kroger Family of Pharmacies includes:
Highlander
Jay C
Kessel
Owen
Payless
Dillon
Baker
Gerbes
King Soopers
City Market
Fry's
Smith's
Ralphs
Food4Less
Foods Co.
Bells Market
Cala Foods
Fred Meyer
Quality Food Centers
Postal Prescription Services

In my experience my Kroger pharmacy employees have been most helpful and courteous.  My Kroger store does have a drive through if I need it but not all Kroger's have a drive through for their pharmacy.

My Viewpoint:
If you're already shopping at Kroger and filling prescriptions, the Kroger Pharmacy Prescription Medicine plan is worth checking out.  A 30 day supply is $4.00 for many generic prescription medicines.  A 90 day supply of a generic prescription medicine may be $10.00 and in my case saves me $14.00 plus two extra trips verses using my prescription drug card.

Sounds similar to Wal-Mart. I used Krogers years ago but then the store closed so I transferred my acct. to a family owned and operated pharmacy. A few mos. ago my doctor wanted to try me on a new med. and she told me to go to Wal-Mart b/c it was part of their $4 prog. I have also used Walgreens for the convenience because I have one near my office and one about 3 miles from my house. Glad you found something that is working for you ;+) ~Gigi

I have considered it, but recently got my $30 gift card offer to transfer to CVS -- using that $30.00 I can stock up on all kinds of goodies. A-is there a list of drugs they fill somewhere or the generic equals? I would love to know if my RX is available.

What a wonderful deal -- I wish we had a Kroger's in our area!

I second George's sentiments, especially in this economic recession!
