I love Shake n Bake. The extra crispy is my go to item for quick meals during the week. Especially for chicken and chops.

I grew up with their Shake 'n Bake products...that's a lot of decades ago. I tried other products but was disappointed I had to use my own shaking bag, so I returned to Kraft. I was shocked to find that suddenly the amount of material in the Shake 'n Bake boxes has been substantially reduced, especially for two bags of chicken. Also, the formula/prep has changed. Instead of sticking to wet chicken evenly, it now balls up in the bag and barely covers the chicken slices. Somebody in the home office messed with the product, both in quantity and quality. I guess I'll go back to other brands and just buy more plastic bags. You blew it, Kraft. I used this product consistently for over fifty years...this ain't my Mama's Kraft product.

What a great idea, a pre-made coating mix with a shaker bag, that can be used on different types of meats! There are cheaper versions of coating mixes available in the stores, but they are always too salty and appear to have less coating in them. Shake N Bake is my all time favorite, but I like to change it up when I use it. I always add something different to the mix, like crushed crackers, potato chips, pretzels, or even grated cheese. My only complaint that I could have with this product is that I always run out with just one packet. I tend to make four pieces of thin chicken breast at a time, and one packet in the shaker bag is never enough to coat all the chicken. I dip my meat in egg first, then put meat into shaker bag to coat it. It always cooks up really nice whether I fry or bake the chicken. I find the extra crispy version of Shake N Bake to have a great crunch to it. Definitely would recommend this to all cooks, simple and tasty!

I use Shake 'N Bake every week of my life, almost every day to be honest. Since it can be used with more than just chicken, it works out. I make a lot of pork and chicken. Most of the time it is with Kraft Shake 'N Bake, I have recently switched to only Kraft Shake 'N Bake. The chicken Shake 'N Bake mix comes with two brown paper bagged (sealed of course) bags of the dried bread crumbs. There are also two cellophane bags for you to shake your meat in, once you have poured in the right amount of Shake' N Bake mix in the cellophane bag, of course. I always add some seasoning, the littlest bit though, onto the meat before I use the Shake 'N Bake only because there is not a ton of flavor in the Shake 'N Bake itself. It honestly is better, this way you can control the amount of sodium in your food. To cover it, Shake 'N Bake is definitely a must to have in your cupboards or pantries if your family likes chicken, pork or any other meats. I'm sure you all do! The pork flavor I would have to say is the absolute best. Grab some at your next shopping trip, also get thick pieces of pork & bake them with Shake 'N Bake. You won't regret trying this.

Shake N Bake makes it easy to make good, seasoned meat. I usually use it on chicken, but it could work on other meats as well. All you do is put the seasoning and meat in the bag it comes with and shake to coat! It calls for fresh meat, but I have used frozen as well. There is a lot of flavors to choose from and they all taste great!

Sadly this product makes a decent pork chop... And by decent I really mean that it is a totally different dish than a pork chop should be. This works pretty well if you follow it exactly, but any mistake turns the finished product into a mush of batter on a piece of meat.

My kids request this. And I grew up with this and nothing changed it shouldn't Great products are reliable and tasty shouldn't change. Flavorful. keeps meats juicy. I bake my food for a hour and it still comes out cooked well and tastier and moist. My family can even have bbq under and then shake and bake coating to kick it up a notch. You can even add this crumble on top of cassaroles and mac and cheese. Meatless or meat any way the flavor is not mistaken. Great items can boost you kitchen reputation. With young or old families this can be a pantry stable. It has two in each. a shake bag and a flavor crumbles. you can use this on veggies for your youngsters. A recongnized flavor would help the kiddies try new veggies. adding this savory crumble is good for even desserts to cut the sweetness of pies and to help them for being too juicy and seeping through the crust bottom.
