Most HelpfulAs a first time users of Philadelphia Cream Cheese Tomato & Basil Spread my family and I enjoyed the flavor and of course the wonderful creamy texture of the cheese as always you can count on the quality of Philadelphia cream cheese products. This time we enjoyed it on crackers. I plan to use...

Most HelpfulI tried two of Philadelphia's newest cream cheese flavors. The first one I tried was the spinach and artichoke which I got a coupon for from Viewpoints. I was very happy with that product so I bought the sundried tomato and basil variety during my next visit to the grocery store.
The sundried tomato...
review »I picked up my Philly Sundried Tomato and Basil Cream Cheese today and I was sceptical that it would taste as good as it sounded. But I must say I am very pleasantly surprised as is my husband!
I made homemade sourdough bread this morning and figured that it would be great to try with the new spread. The cream cheese was super creamy and had a nice hint of herbs with a tomato flavor that was very natural. I served it with my dinner tonight along with my bread and my husband went in for seconds...and thirds! It's a hit!
The only thing that I would love is if there was a light version of...
review »When I received free coupons for a couple of Kraft - Philadelphia's new cream cheese spreads I was eager to try them. I first tried their new Spinach and Artichoke Spread and found it to be delicious. I wasn't quite as enthusiastic about trying the Sundried Tomato & Basil. Don't get me wrong, I love both Sundried Tomatoes & Basil, but my experience with basil is that it is always best eaten fresh.
A Pleasant Surprise
When we had some people over last weekend we prepared a platter of both spreads served on Triscuit Crackers. I was surprised at the quality of taste that was achieved with...
review »I use cream cheese as a key ingredient in cheeseballs and many other types of dips. My first instinct when I heard about this product was that it would probably be really good as an ingredient in a dip. Here's the good part: you don't need to mix it with anything! The Sundried Tomato & Basil Philadelphia is flavorful and delicious on its own; I felt a bit improper dipping crackers directly into the tub, but it's that good! I would definitely put this into a bowl and serve it with crackers at my next dinner party.
I had such a hard time choosing a flavor to review. They both sounded so good but I finally decided on the Tomato and Basil flavor. What a great choice I made (though I still want to try the Spinach and Artichoke flavor)! The merriment of flavors in my mouth upon my first bite were too good to be true! I could not believe I found this in my local Publix! It tasted more like a chef in the Napa Valley made this just for me. I am a chef (now to my small children) so this is not a half handed compliment!
I enjoyed this lucious cream cheese spread on a cracker but only wish I could have enjoyed it...
review »I can't think of anything on which I wouldn't sample this delicious Sundried Tomato & Basil cream cheese from Kraft-Philadelphia! It is the greatest new flavor since cream cheese with chives! I tried it on Dorito scoopables (with a jalepeno), carrots, celery, my finger, boiled eggs, bread sticks (I didn't have any bagels), a knife, apples, tomatoes, rolled in tortillas... and I had to go out and buy more (it should come in larger tubs)! I justified the heavy intake as pure research, but honestly, it's so tasty I didn't want to stop. I had a girlfriend over so we could double check my...
review »i just tried the kraft cream cheese in sundried tomatos, it's a nice snack to have with crackers or something like wheat crisps .i would have hoped it had less calories but if you use it moderation you should be fine. The taste is very unique and it's a nice change for the old same boring plain cream cheese. But if you dont like tomatoes stay away from it so since i absolutely love tomatoes it was the perfect snack for me. it feels very rich and creamy so if you have that for a snack you should feel very satisfied after.
I was given a free coupon for the Tomato and basil Kraft Philadelphia cream cheese as a product test from viewpoints a few weeks ago .
We usually only buy the onion and chives flavour but I was excited to try the Tomato basil flavour.
I must say this is really tasty stuff ! I tried it on a few different kinds of bread and crackers . First, I tried was spreading it on some garlic Texas toast wow was that good . I also found it to be very tasty on ciabatta bread . I now realize just what Im missing out on by just buying the onion and chives flavour.
I also tried the tomato and basil on some...
review »I received my coupon in the mail yesterday. I quickly dashed to my Nissan Frontier and proceeded to Publix. Rapidly I ran through the doors.. came close to running over an elderly couple... To which i came back and aplogized to them and explained my plight. My desire to try a new cream cheese by Kraft. I calmly explained and they agreed that I must hurry and vanquish my hunger for flavor.
I made a wild dash rounding corners and hurdling over a shopping cart to find..there were only 4 containers left. With a sigh of relief I rapidly advanced myself to the register with great haste.
I quickly exited...
review »Philadelphia Sundried Tomato and Basil Cream Cheese
Have you tried it yet? I found it to be very tasty, smooth and creamy and absolutely delicious...... Spread it on some Rtiz or Hostess crackers, out of this world..... I feel it would be a great additon to your party plans with either crackers or some chips like tostitos or fritos. You simply have to try it.....
Kraft-Philadelphia Sundried Tomato & Basil Cream Cheese Spread - besides having an outrageously long name <Grin> was a serious disappointment. The flavors are bland and uninspired, apparently aimed at some non-existant lowest common denominator consumer.
I believe a product like this that probably has a somewhat limited appeal anyway due to price and description would have a better reaction by its audience if it was bolder and more flavorful. If I want plain cream cheese, I'll buy it. A flavored cream cheese spread should have visible chunks of the principle ingredients, strong and bold...
review »First of all, this was not my flavor choice. I actually would have preferred the Spinach & Artichoke cream cheese. However, the grocery store at which I purchased it only had the Philadelphia Sundried Tomato Basil flavored, I am not a big cream cheese on bagels fan though I do & am sure I will continue to eat them from time to time. However, I definitely DID NOT like the cream cheese that I was forced to take - AT ALL. I got ZERO taste of the basil in it. There also was little to no flavor of the tomatoes though I could visually see that it WAS & HAD been incorporated into the cream cheese. ...
review »The Philadelphia Sundried Tomato and Basil cream cheese is very versatile and can be used in a wide variety of recipes.I first tried the Sundried Tomato and Basil cream cheese spread in a wrap. I spread it on a tortialla and added lettuce, tomato, olives, tofurky(I'm a vegetarian), cheddar cheese, and topped with Greek dressing, then wrapped it up. The cream cheese gave it a very nice rich taste...perfect for summer and a perfect recipe to bring on a picnic. I also spread some Sundried Tomato and Basil cream cheese as a topper on Ritz crackers for a light snack.I look forward to even trying it...
review »After trying this Phil. cream cheese flavor, sun-dried tomato and basil, it made me realize how many other flavors they have that I have not had the opportunity to try!! First, I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the sun-dried tomato, but even more pleased by the other varieties they offer!! I will certainly be buying this flavor again, along with several other Phil. cream cheese flavors to spread on crackers, veggies, etc. for quick appetizers for those impromptu get togethers we have at the beach house on the weekends!! My kids (who are some of the pickiest kids I know) even liked this...
