Kraft - Philadelphia Sundried Tomato & Basil: Good for Snacks

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

When I received free coupons for a couple of Kraft - Philadelphia's new cream cheese spreads I was eager to try them.  I first tried their new Spinach and Artichoke Spread and found it to be delicious.  I wasn't quite as enthusiastic about trying the Sundried Tomato & Basil.  Don't get me wrong, I love both Sundried Tomatoes & Basil, but my experience with basil is that it is always best eaten fresh.

A Pleasant Surprise

When we had some people over last weekend we prepared a platter of both spreads served on Triscuit Crackers.  I was surprised at the quality of taste that was achieved with this spread.  The basil taste was mild, pleasant and above-all fresh while the sundried tomatoes added both taste and a nice texture.  If forced to choose between the two spreads I would probably give the edge to the Spinach and Artichoke, but that is simply a personal preference.

My Viewpoint

I liked the Sundried Tomato & Basil Spread and would recommend it as an interesting and tasty snack.  Both the taste and texture of the spread were good and it holds up to a quality cracker.  I'd recommend giving it a try.

Rudi
