Kraft - Philadelphia Spinach & Artichoke Cream Cheese Spread —

I gotta say that I have always loved cream cheese and flavored cream cheese spreads on just about anything crunchy and this new flavor was no different.  I purchased the Spinach & Artichoke spread along with a box of the new, or at least new to me - Triscuit Thin Crisps (which I also plan on reviewing later).

I was expecting lots of flavor to come through from either the spinach or the artichoke but neither was very strong. And I am not saying that is a bad thing either. In other-words, you are not overwhelmed with the flavor from either vegetable and instead get just a hint, with the full flavor coming from the cream cheese. Personally I would like a tiny bit more flavor to come through. I mean, I don't think this type spread is meant to be like or have that overwhelming ranch dip type flavoring, so overall it was great. It went really good with the Triscuits and another wheat cracker I had at home.  Can't wait to try this on a bagel for breakfast and I am sure I won't be disappointed.

The cream cheese was very easy to spread coming right out of the fridge. If you want to dip right out of the container just make sure you have a sturdy chip or cracker otherwise you might need a knife to spread it with. But in my opinion it was the perfect consistency.

Bottom line is I will be buying this along side some of my other favorites, like the Kraft Strawberry spread.

The nutritional data on this is for 2 tablespoons. Calories - 70. Fat calories - 60. Total fat -  6 grams. Hmmmmm...I know that when I am slathering this stuff on a bagel I am using more than 2 tablespoons so I am sure it's not that great for me but it's cream cheese, what do you expect? :)

I agree. Hopefully they will have a low fat version out soon but for the time being I will just try and buy a lower fat version cracker or eat it on vegetables to compensate. :)
