This item is relatively new on the market. It is getting air time and that is how I knew about it. I wasn't going to waste my money just to go out and get another jar of mayonnaise. But then I realized that my mayonnaise was probably pretty old. Yeah, it expired back in March. So I chunked it in the garbage and added this to my list. That's not a very prudent thing to so but I'm single and many things sit in the fridge or pantry for a really long time because I can't use them that quick.
Before the mayonnaise critics get offended let me tell you a little something about myself. For...
review »When I was a young kid learning to cook, it goes without saying that I cranked out my share of Brownies, banana cake and Toll House cookies but my Dad taught me something else to do with that fancy MixMaster of ours -- we sometimes made our own mayonnaise! The concept seems deceptively simple -- just beat some eggs in the mixer and then very slowly add a hot oil mixture to them -- but it was actually difficult to do since adding the hot oil mixture too slow or fast could curdle the eggs. To make a long story short, making my own mayonnaise is probably something I will never be tempted...
review »Kraft mayo with olive oil is a must have for anyone who is conscious about eating healthy.
Mayonnaise has had such a bad reputation for decades as being artery clogging and unhealthy, but Kraft mayo with olive oil stops all that bad publicity.
There is nothing I make that does not have this in it. Coleslaw, homemade salad dressing, sandwiches and dips all come out better with Kraft mayo with olive oil than any other light mayo.
The ingredients start with olive oil and continue on to other healthy ingredients. There is no saturated fat, no trans fat, less than 5 milligrams of cholesterol...
review »I am reviewing Kraft mayo with olive oil. I am a huge mayo fan and this is so far my favorite mayo yet. It has a lot of flavor and with the olive oil infused throughout makes this a healthier choice for mayo, especially when you don't particularly care for miracle whip. It is a very creamy product and mixes well in salads and recipes that call for the use of mayo. Cakes are wonderful with this product.
With so many food containing bad colesterol it is such a great thing to have something with olive oil in it. Being on a low colesterol diet I love knowing that Kraft cares about making healthy food.
Best Mayo out there. Kraft Mayo with Olive Oil is delicious and great in so many recipes. My daughter created a salad dressing recipe with it which is out of this world. The best part is you don't have to worry about calories when using it, it actually has half the calories of regular mayo, but you would never know it by the taste. I've used it to bake with, grill and of course sandwiches. We even have a bottle put to the side just for picnics. Each of my family members have their own bottles at work (co-workers have been introduced to Kraft Mayo with olive oil this way). I've always loved cooking...
review »Who said you can't have your diet and eat mayo too?
I'm all for reduced calories and healthy foods. The problem is that healthy reduced calorie foods often lack flavor. Well that cannot be said for Kraft's Mayo with olive oil. It tastes yummy with just a hint of olive oil flavor. It would be nice if all brands of mayonaise decided to switch to olive oil. Normal mayonaise has become a big no no and I've missed it. Now I can be on a diet, be health concious and have mayonaise on my sandwich. Now my biggest problem is finding it in the large size. My stores often only carry the small...
