Back in the day Kraft Macaroni & Cheese original was the best thing my mom ever put on the kitchen table  At that time the cheese came in a can and I would try to get every delicious drop and then the can was all mine to lick. This was the best mac & cheese ever. Better than homemade but today it has changed like a number of products. I dont know whether its for health reasons or whether they are using a cheaper product or even less of the product. I will never understand why Kraft of all companies would mess up a good thing and its not even about putting the cheese in a foil pack. Thats fine. Its the taste of the cheese. Not so good anymore, nor do me or my children wanna lick the packet. I dont buy original anymore because its just yuck. The sharp is better but never as good as the original was in the 70's. What happened? I think its time for Kraft & all the other companies out there to get back to the beginning to how they got us hooked in the first place so food can be good again. I miss so many products that used to taste soooo good but now have changed touting "new improved" flavor when they now taste like YUCK! Do us a favor Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Original. Bring back the real cheese. The one you first put in the can so I can put a little bit of the old days and heaven back on the kitchen table. THUMBS WAY DOWN!

Kraft Deluxe Macaroni and Cheese Sharp Cheddar is still the best macaroni and cheese from a box out there. It is an old reliable favorite from my childhood. I don't remember the sharp cheddar flavor from back then. The only difference between the original and deluxe was that the cheese was powder in the original, while it is sauce in a foil packet with deluxe. It being easy and quick to prepare, and that great taste, has always made it the perfect side dish to go with just about anything. I'd never had it as a stand alone meal until going to summer camp. I came home asking my Mom to make it as a meal. Well she was having none of that! To this day, I still enjoy Kraft Deluxe Macaroni and Cheese as a side and a meal. By far it is the best tasting, most convenient, and overall best valued macaroni and cheese in a box!

Every once in a while you find a product that is worth paying for the name brand. This is oone of those items. We have been satisfied with the regular deluxe macaroni and cheese, but not completely fulfilled. We felt that the flavor was lacking. I happened to see the sharp cheddar flavor and we tried it. After one box, we are hooked. The flavor is more intense than the regular meal. It tastes more like homemade. It even comes in a family size. The only thing I did not like was that as a leftover it seemed to lose its flaor. But I've yet to find a macaroni and cheese prepackaged that tastes good reheated the next day. There are also some interesting recipes that can be made with this product.
