Most HelpfulWith a 90 lb German Shepherd who pretty much destroys every toy I give him, these KONG toys are a money saver!! They are the only toy that my dog cannot destroy in a matter of minutes; plus, I can tuck little treats inside that keep my dog occupied for a really long time.
I've purchased several of these...

Most HelpfulThis toy is the only rubber toy that my stuffed animal loving dogs will play with! My two Boston Terriers stay in a kennel while I am at work so I like to stuff these toys with treats and let them chew on them. It keeps them busy and entertained and I don't have to worry about them chewing a piece off and choking on it.
I think the kong is the best toy for a dog . I have an American Bulldog that has eaten every other toy we have bought him except the kong. He loves playing with it and he also likes to hide it from people. My dog loves his kong sos much he takes it outside with him and brings it back in when he is done. Also when he wants to get you to play with him he throws his kong at you. My dog is only 5 months old and that is the only toy he will play with because his jaw is so strong and he destoys everything else. I would tell any dog owner to get a kong it lasts forever and your dog will have a ball...

Even when she was a puppy, we'd give her "puppy" toys and she would tear them to pieces in seconds. We bought other toys that had squeakers in them thinking she would enjoy those and not tear them apart. She tore them apart and tried to eat the squeaker, making our choice in dog toys a safety issue on top of it all!
The first day we had the Kong she tried to tear it apart and we just let her play with it all afternoon. When I checked on her in the evening, it was still in one piece...

It keeps our 2 big dogs busy for hours. It's so nice to have, especially when we are having guests over. Our oldest dog is a Bearded Collie mix & his sister is a Staffordshire Terrier mix, which is a type of Pit Bull. If she can't tear through it, no dog can.
We put treats, peanut butter, cheese, dog snacks, or any other treat in there for them & they just love it. We have even caught them chewing on it when there is nothing...

Being an intelligent breed they will find something to do if you can't find something for them. I discovered the Kong toys and hit the jackpot. The kong is great for retrieving because you never know where it will bounce so it keeps them on their toes. I fill them with small teats and cheez whiz for short term entertainment. Then I got to thinking about what to do to make the fun last. The answer I came up with was to fill the Kong with peanut...
read full review »We bought the kong about 6 months ago, and we use it ever day. My dogs love it and like another person said it is the only toy that my dogs have not destroyed. You can buy special stuff to put inside of it (in a cheese whiz looking can) but it was too pricey in my eyes. We use peanut butter and milkbones most of the time and occassionally plain yogurt and we freeze it. I know you are probably thinking how good is the peanut butter for dogs when given frequently. Well, that is what I thought, so I asked our vet, he said it was fine in small amounts. Also, it should not become a problem...

We finally stumbled across theis Kong toy and we have had it for over a year and she still hasn't chewed it up. Of course there are cheaper toys out there that you can buy for you dog but if they chew them up then its really not cheaper. Get your dog and it will be cheaper in the end since they can't chew it up and your dog will love you for it.
when we got our dog as a puppy a friend gave us a kong toy for him....i wasnt familiar with it and frankly wasnt thinking charley would like it.....but its turned out to be his favorite toy...hands down. its great for tossing so he can chase it and you can fill it with a variety of healty snacks...it keeps him entertained for long periods of time while he tries to pry it out..you can even fill it with frozen treats in the summer for eating outdoors
This toy is great for most dogs and some strong chewers. I love that you can put treats or peanut butter inside of the treat as well. It will keep your dog busy for hours trying to get it out. My dog is a rediculous chewer and he of course tore it apart in about an hour. How ever most strong chewers can't dent this toy, I guess it really depends on the dog. They also have many different style kong toys so your pet wont get bored with it.
I have a german shephard who doesn't like to play with toys. All I have to do is put some peanut butter in the KONG and she forgets all about not liking toys. She will be busy with that until she's gotten every drop of peanut butter out. Then she'll cross her legs and wait for what the rest of the day holds. Even when the grandpups come over that toy gets used.
I bought one of these Kong toys for our Boxer pup Chance He loves it it is very strong and durable. I love this toy cause of the way it bounces and rolls when you throw it down a hil in our yard.Chance loves this toy. It takes a beating from him and He can lay and chew on it and it still shows not tears or pieces missing from Him chewing on it.. The Kong is a great toy.
