Kong Review

We bought the kong about 6 months ago, and we use it ever day.  My dogs love it and like another person said it is the only toy that my dogs have not destroyed.  You can buy special stuff to put inside of it (in a cheese whiz looking can)  but it was too pricey in my eyes.  We use peanut butter and milkbones most of the time and occassionally plain yogurt and we freeze it.  I know you are probably thinking how good is the peanut butter for dogs when given frequently.  Well, that is what I thought, so I asked our vet, he said it was fine in small amounts.  Also, it should not become a problem unless the dog starts gaining weight (in that case I would buy the canned stuff, they a weight control one).  Oh ya, it is also great for crate training dogs.  I have one dog that is 6 years old and never crate trained until we recently got another dog.  The 6 year old was unsure at first but now, he knows that if you say crate, that he will get the kong.  So he will go running for the crate to be in there now.
