I have a big dog that can chew through almost anything. He finally met his match when we purchased the Kong Rubber Chew Toy from our local pet store. This odd shaped toy didn't look like much fun to me but my dog loves it. We have several of the Kong toys now and, no matter how old they get, unbelievably, they don't have a single chew mark in them. Rebel can sit and chew on one for an hour and nothing happens to the toy. Weirdness. Anyway, after awhile he got somewhat bored with the Kong toys. After doing some online research, I found a site called planetdog.com. This site has some amazing products. When I was browsing through the toys, I came across the Orbee-Tuff Woof & Fetch Ball. After reading some reviews and the site information, I ordered the ball. Turns out, he has a riot with it and, like the Kong toy, this thing doesn't get a mark on it regardless of how long he gnaws on it. Besides being durable, it has a mint scent, bounces and floats too! The Kong toys and the Planet Dog Orbee-Tuff toys are both great fun for your dog and durable chew toys but how do they compare?

Planet Dog Orbee-Tuff Toys

My Final Viewpoint

When compared, both of these brands are above the rest in their market. The cost is pretty much the same, they are both made in the good old US of A and each have a great guarantee. Based on my opinion and from our experience, I choose the Planet Dog Orbee-Tuff toys over the Kong toys. Kong toys are also great because of their durability and versatility (can be filled with a treat) but Planet Dog has many more types of toys to choose from, they have a mint scent that dogs like, float, are recyclable and, most of all, two percent of each purchase from their website is donated to service dog programs.

These are great! Everytime my mom leaves, she stuffs treats in there to entertain the dog when she isn't there.

This sounds like a great gift idea even for those of us who don't have dogs.

I have to check them out. Brandy's getting bored with some of her old favorites. Nice job.

I definitely need to tell my brother and SIL about this product. They currently have 11 dogs and one of them is a Brendle Boxer/Pit Bull breed. I have a cute picture of Lily in my photo gallery. She chews everything. She kept chewing the wooden legs off "her" favorite love seat so my brother finally gave up and quit replacing them. Now the loveseat sits directly on the floor and she is happy. As a matter of fact--Lily is sitting on "her" sofa in the picture. Stop by and pay her a visit! woof woof!!

Both toys seem great. I know my dog likes his PD one.
