Excellent grooming tool for all kinds of cats.

Some cats just don't like being groomed.  But for those who do, the Zoom Groom is excellent.  I've seen it work very well with long hair as well as short hair.  It is a flexible tool with rubbery "points".  There are no sharp edges or points, and no hard parts.  Cats love to rub their faces on things, and they can rub all over a Zoom Groom.  Cleanliness is important for grooming tools, and you can just drop it in warm, soapy water and wash it.  I would recommend this as one of a selection of grooming tools to have ready for your cat.

I love the groom zoom!

So I first discovered this product at the cat shelter I volunteer at. At first glance I thought it wasnt going to do much in terms of getting the hair off, but boy was I wrong! Shelter cats generally do not get as much brushing and pampering as they could (many reasons for this, but lack of staff is one), so they tend to shed a lot when brushed. I used this on one of my good long haired friends at the shelter, and it was amazing! I got more hair off of her than I have with any other brush. The textures seems like it would get to the undercoat to remove the hair, but it does. I ended up buying two to have at home and love them. If one of my cats see me even move the Groom Zoom they think they are going to get brushed and come running to me. I have started grooming one cat (who sheds alot and loves brushing) with 2 at once and she just goes bananas. The groom zoom is a special treat for my cats and gets a lot of fur off.

Great little cat brush

When my partner first saw the Zoom Groom at a local pet supplies store, he balked at purchasing it as its rubber spikes were a little reminiscent of Mideval torture devices! But the rubber is extremely soft and plible (try it on your own skin - it's odd, but definitely not a painful experience), and it's remarkably effective at removing loose hair from our short-haired kitten. Most importantly, the kitten enjoys it tremendously, and will reposition herself in order to be brushed evenly on both sides! In regards to the hair-catching abilities - you've gotta get a certain amount of hair stuck to the bristles at first, and then the hair will amass quite nicely. I usually just put some of the little bits of hair that fly off the brush in the beginning, back on the brush - and that helps the brush in collecting the other hairs more efficiently. And in regards to the shape - if you've small hands (as I do) it's actually quite comfortable to use. Furthermore, the "cat shape" provides some smaller edges, which is helpful for getting that space behind the ears and by the cheks (and brushing my kitten there generally will make her tongue stick out in pleasure). A broader array of colors would've been nice for my aesthetic tastes - but kitty likes blue just fine.

Comfy for kitties

A few years ago, our nineteen-year-old cat became very sensitive as he neared the end of his life. His personal grooming also took a turn for the worse, and as a long-haired, fluffy fellow, this was bad news. Normal cat brushes and combs seemed to pain him and the knots kept accumulating. I was so thankful when a friend of mine said we should try out a cool new cat brush she had been using on her cats. She let me try out the Zoom Groom and we were hooked. I can't say my cat loved it, but it was a much more painless grooming session than anything else we tried and kept him free of tangles. He has since passed, but I have continued to use this on my current cat and he is also a big fan. In fact, he hardly seems to know he is being brushed and seems to think it is a massage. The Zoom Groom collects hair while being soft, blunt and rubber. It fits perfectly in the average person's hand. The only catch is, when we're done brushing, my cat likes to chew on it. Not sure what that is all about.

works great

This is the best at getting rid of cat hair.  I have two cats who shed a lot and this brush has been the best that I've been able to find. I've tried the furminator, but this collects more hair.  My cats don't mind to be brushed for a little bit, so I have to have something that works fast to get the most hair off the kitties in the shortest amount of time.  This brush is easy to clean and allows you to pull off all the hair in one clump.  The cats don't seem to mind this flexble brush, and are more tolerant of this brush over wire bristle brushes.  I have also used this brush to clean cat hair off of my furniture.  You can take the brush over any fabric and it is able to pick up the cat hair,  I have also used this brush on my dog.  It works amazingly, I typically try to brush my cats on tile flooring though because you tend to catch a lot of shedding hair.  This makes cleanup much easier.

GREAT PRODUCT to reduce shedding!

I LOVE this product! It works well and is easy to clean. VERY EASY. Works even when you're bathing them and gets a nice good bubbly scrub. They aren't expensive at all and are sold at most petstores so extra bonus! :) I would definitely recommend this for ALL pet owners. My cats both don't mind being combed by this brush for minutes on minutes.

Zoom Groom, the easy painless way to groom

5

I have 2 short haired and one long haired cat, and I can use it for all three!  The slicker brush only works on the long haired, the short haired cats run from it, I think it must hurt or tickle.  The zoom groom works on all, and is decently priced.  Does an excellent job of removing loose fur, and massages the cat while it is grooming.  The only down side is that the hair doesn't stay in the brush, some will fly away since there is such a big distance between each groove of the brush.  But for the price and how well it works, some loose hair is worth it.

Using Zoom Groom with my elderly, rescue cat helped us bond.

This brush helped me connect with my cat. When I first adopted her, she hated being touched. It was time to learn about trust, for both of us. She's diabetic and over 14 years old. She has very fragile, dry skin and has a hard time grooming. The first brush I tried, she rejected. When I use this brush, flat side down, she was okay with it. This brush is flexible and changes with the countours of her back and legs and neck. It's like a kitty massage.  Now, she purrs and she loves to be brushed under the chin with it; we have a kitty-love-and-groom fest when it's time for brushing. You can use the soft-bristle side or the flat side and it's rubbery, so it picks up hair both ways just with the static electricity. It really works.

Must have for shedding pets

Don't know how I ever lived without this on. I use it on my long hair domestic cat, short hair but shedding toy rat terrier, and my long hair morkie (maltese york mix).  It really pulls out the dead, loose hair that cause coats to be dull. But the best benefit is it keeps the shedding hair from being all over my furniture and floors. The coats are silky and shiny and my animals love it, even when they don't particularly care for brushing. This is more like a pampering massage to them. Very inexpensive. Rush out to get yours today!
