The KONG ball comes in two sizes; I have several of both sizes and they are the longest lasting "fetch balls" I have bought for my dogs. I used to buy tennis balls and have them all over the yard but they would get muddy or water logged which resulted in them not bouncing. Even though the KONG balls cost more than a tube of cheap tennis balls, they last long and as soon as the dogs see me pick one up to throw it they are super excited and ready for some fetch. The small KONG ball has a hole in it so you can add a treat to it; even if you add something to the inside of it you are still going to be able to bounce it. The larger dogs will go after this if I throw it but they aren't all that interested in trying to get whatever is inside it if I slide a small bone or piece of kibble in it. The large ball is solid and I can launch it all the way to the back of the yard with no problem; I think they have only destroyed one of these since I started buying them. Most of the pet stores in the area have KONG products but they might not have the ball in both sizes. This past Christmas my dogs got a couple of the large balls from friends as well as the Extreme KONG (black version) ball. For whatever reason they don't play with the black one (Extreme) as much as they do with the regular red KONG ball; maybe it's the color or the way that it bounces but they clearly like the original version more. If you have a dog that is tough on balls or you want something that is easy to clean then this is something that's worth the selling price.

I have two dogs that love all things ball shaped - tennis balls, soccer balls, basketballs, etc. The only problem with their ball obsession is that they destroy them. Sometimes in minutes. Tennis balls are cheap enough to replace, but they can wear on their teeth and cause damage. Other balls pose a choking or obstruction hazard because the dogs will tear them into pieces and potentially swallow them. I started to feel like I was running out of safe options to satisfy their obsession and then I discovered the Kong Ball. I picked one up for the dogs one day when I saw them at the local feed store. It was a little pricey, but I figured, if it was as durable as it claimed, it'd pay off in the long run. And it has. It's been 8 months, and while the ball shows a little wear and tear, it's still in one piece, and the dogs have great fun with it. The only con is that it's not very bouncy, and it's a little too heavy for playing fetch with, but if you roll it for them to chase that seems to satisfy them. Definitely worth the money!

I have 2 puppies. And they are both very destructible with any toy I buy them. I have spent so much money investing in toys that I believe would last for a while, but turn out to only last for less than a week. I bought this kong ball hoping that what the reviews of the ball say are true. My puppies LOVE playing with this ball and it has lasted for 2 months now with no damage. I am SO happy I purchased this ball for them.

We purchased this Kong Rubber Ball a few months after purchasing the Kong original toy because our dogs love the Kong toys so well! I must say that it did take them a little while to get the hang of playing with this toy because it is just a big, heavy toy. Once they figured out how to play with it, they loved it. They also love the Kong Stuff'n that goes inside and it always seems to keep them entertained for quiet awhile, which is saying something because they have very short attention spans typically. I love that this toy is so easy to clean and all I have to do it wipe it up with washcloth or stick it in some hot water to get it all cleaned out. I also like durable it is. My puppies have everything shredded in a matter of hours but the Kong Ball has held it's own in our house! The durability and ease of cleaning is definitely worth the money! For as long as this ball has lasted us it would be hard for me to not recommend purchasing this product! We love it!

Yet another great product. Kong really does make great products. Although they can be a bit pricey, they are well worth it. We have a very playful puppy who loves nothing more then to run and play. Playing fetch with her always was short lived because unfortunately she would accidentally break just about every tennis ball we have given her. We finally broke down and bought her a Kong ball and we couldn't be more happy. Now we can all enjoy play time without it having to come to a quick end because of a broken toy. This ball is very durable and a great size for a medium to large dog. Because of my dogs powerful jaws, we did get the black (extreme) ball and it has definately held up with no problems. If you have a smaller dog, you may not need such a stong ball but if you have a larger dog, this is the one for you. It is a great size and made of material that is not rock hard yet very strong. The ball still has a little bounce and is easy to catch or get into your dogs mouth. Give it a try, you will be amazed how great this is.

Lincoln, our cairn terrier loves to play. I've replaced so many of his toys because he chews on them and tears them apart. This can get a bit pricey until I invested in the Kong Rubber ball. Lincoln surely met his match with this toy. It's 100% rubber and made specifically for dogs who love to chew. Try as he might, this ball is still in tremendous shape. I've got to hand it to Kong truly knows dogs. Now for Lincoln's birthday or holidays I seek out more Kong toys. They have quite a selection including interactive toys for dogs who get bored easily. These particular toys open up to put your dogs favorite treats in and he/she will spend hours trying to get them out. Let's face it, Kong has the best toys for mans best friend...any dog owner can attest to this. You can find a list of Kong balls and toys on Amazon. It can't get any easier than that. Yes, thumbs up to Kong and their toys~

What can I say? The Kong is a vertually indestructable top of the line high quality dog toy.  My lab tears up every toy I buy him, no matter how expensive it is.  The Kong is the ONLY toy he hasn't been able to destroy! He has met his match and he loves it. It is fun to chew on, fun to use as a bounce toy, you can play fetch with it or fill it with treats such as cheese or peanut butter for snack time. It can be used inside or outside and is easily cleaned with mild soap and water. The Kong comes in different sizes depending on the size of your dog, they also sell different types of treat fillers for the Kong or you can easily use people food from home. I often fill my dogs Kong with peanut butter and then put it in the freezer until it's good and frozen, this makes for even longer treat times!! He loves those special occassions. Purchase the Kong for your dog, you won't be disappointed, and neither will your best friend.

My rhodesian lab loves his Kong ball and we love it b/c he can't chew it up.  We have had it for a year. The longest we have had any ball. I would totally recommend this to any friends with large dogs. It doesn't fit into the thrower as well as a tennis ball but it still fits.

We were looking for a ball that our energetic chew-happy puppy couldn't shred or destroy.  The Kong ball hasn't gotten torn apart, but it also hasn't gotten much use.  It was too tough for her to do anything ther than play fetch,  and she quickly lost interest because of that.   She won't even bother to chase it anymore.   This would be great if you had a dog that  already loved to play fetch, but doesn't make a good training toy.

After investing a small fortune on toys for our two German Shepherds we decided to try the Kong range of toys. We purchased the classic rubber Kong toy, the Kong flyer and our fur babys favorite, the Kong rubber ball. This has been thrown, fetched, fetched and thrown a zillion times and our 145lb Shepherd has not tired of it once, we have to hide it from him ocassionally because he gets so obsessed with it but it doesn't take long for us to give into those sad brown eyes. This has to be the most durable toy on the market.
