This is the only toy my dog will not destroy and to make it more interesting for her I freeze peanut butter inside.  Keeps her entertained for quite a while.

My last dog did not care for rubber toys, but I had always heard good things about the Kong. When I got my new puppy he loved chewing on really tough things, so I got the little red Kong from my vet. He loves it. They sell special Kongs for puppies, but I've never had a problem with him chewing the regular one. The only discernable difference between the two is color anyway. Everyone should know what the Kong dog toys are. I love putting together my dog's kong toy before I leave for school or for work. Try freezing the kong (w/ the treats already inside) and that will really keep your dog busy! You can put dog treats, dog food, etc. in the kong and just watch your dog go right at it trying to get the treats inside. You can also try purchasing the kong squeeze tube food, but that can get costly and I'm pretty sure that stuff isn't healthy or really good for your dog to consume all the time.

If a dog could design their own toy then I believe it would be a kong.  It's a cone shaped toy that has an opening on the bottom to insert treats or paste.  It's made of all natural rubber and satisfies the dog's natural urge to chew.  It's also used for therapy and prevention of boredom, separation anxiety and other behavioral issues.  My dog loves his kong.  I don't even have to put treats in it anymore.  Please remember that  proper kong sizing is determined by your dog's size and chewing temperament.  Always supervise your dog with any toy and throw away if any pieces start to come...

My dog is an agressive chewer. He has destroyed many things, from (his and kids) toys to my wall. I have spent a lot of money on toys and so far (I bought the kong 1 year ago) he hasn't been able to destroy the KONG.  Thats a record for him. I got some advice from the S.P.C.A., they suggested the Kong and said you can buy the kong treats at the pet store or go to the dollar store and buy the squirt cheese to put inside.
