When our dog was a puppy he was chewing everything in the house to shreds.  We tried many different methods to control this behavior and because our puppy was so large, he would chew through every chew toy we bought him within ten minutes or so.  Our local pet shop recommended… read full review »

These may be great toys for less aggressive chewers but my Labrador Husky mix nearly destroyed it is less than a day. I had to pick up bits & pieces behind her as she chewed it apart as I did not want her to swallow any. Would not recommend for power chewers or aggressive chewers at all. Not… read full review »

This is a wonderful toy for my Golden Lab, Sandy. Kongs are rubber toys with an opening to add either the kong size biscuits made to especially fit the kong, or to add your own selection. For instance there is also a peanut butter spread that can you can fill the toy with.  It keeps your dog busy for a long time and they try to lick out the filler, or by dropping it.  When either you or your dog bounces the rubber, it releases a treat. As a puppy when Sandy was chewing up everything possible, the Kong is indestructable.  The sturdy rubber allows your dog to chew on,… read full review »

As a dog trainer, I bring up the Kong in every class I teach because they are amazing. — They keep dogs busy for hours if stuffed with yummy treats. This also stimulates your dogs brain as they try to get the treats out. — Have a dog with separation anxiety? A Kong may be just the thing to curb this behavior. Give a frozen stuffed Kong right before you leave and see the difference. Most all dogs with SA suffer the symptoms as you are leaving and right after you leave...if they have an irresistible Kong to keep them busy, it's easy for them to settle down. — They Kong itself… read full review »

My dogs are destructive to say the least. There is not a box (or piece of cardboard for that matter), backyard, stuffed animal, or other toy that has survived their "work"--except Kongs. We first bought the red cone shaped Kong and got a lot of use out of it for well over a year, but the dishwasher eventually wore it down a bit. When one of our dogs needed knee surgery and was confined to her crate or a leash for a miserable 8 weeks, we bought her the red ball kong with slits along the sides to help keep her occupied. It was very helpful. Now both dogs have the black cone shaped kongs… read full review »

Kongs are a great invention for dogs of all shapes, breeds and sizes. I like to stuff my dog's Kong with peanut butter and give it to him when I leave the house for any length of time. It gives him something to do while I am gone and he is not destructive in any way. He loves to play & chew away at his Kong toy. It is one of his favorite toys. I also like to bring them to an animal shelter because those dogs need it more than any dog to help them pass the time before they find a new… read full review »

All the KONG products have been a joy for my dog ...plus all are well made, you should still monitor your dog with any new toy ...but these are very well made for the hard chewer. There is also a great website with lots of information on keeping you dog happy and… read full review »

My pitbull is an avid chewer and loves to shred his toys.  This is the most durable toy I have found.  I learned early on that if I don't watch my dog he will totally destroy an "indestructable" toy.  Now he only gets away with a few chunks taken out of it before I take it away.  What's good about this toy is that I can stick a treat in it, give it to my dog and forget about it because he won't tear it up as he tries to find a smart way to get the treat it.  It helps stimulate my dog and keeps him… read full review »

Do you have a "power chewer?"  A power chewer is a dog that can chew up anything in a matter of micro-seconds.  Power chewers are usually large dogs. I have a shepherd who weighs 95 pounds, and he can go through a large ham bone in less than five minutes. — — When one of my dog lists did a "not so secret santa" Christmas exchange this past year, the woman who drew my name knows about power chewers. Her dogs dwarf my shepherd. One of the thing she sent for Rambo was the Black Kong for Tenacious Chewers. It is touted as the world's strongest rubber dog toy.  After… read full review »

Kong products makes awesome dog toys. They are durable and Kong even has a product for the toughest chewers. Just  remember the darker the Kong the harder the rubber. — Kongs can be fun all by themselves.  When you throw a Kong it will bounce in funny directions, keeping your dog guessing.  but the best thing to do with a Kong is stuff it.  You can put all kinds of things in a Kong, peanut butter is Sierra's favorite, but you can put apples and carrots, dog food and cookies.  the harder you stuff it, the longer it will take the dog to finish… read full review »

Over the past 40 years I've had my share of dogs. Everything from Cairns to Great Danes & everything in between. Several years ago I bought a kong for my new rescue dog, as she was teething on anything that didn't move, and a few moving objects as well. She sniffed it & walked away. I tried throwing it, peanut butter inside, you name it. It was a bomb. So I had that kong around my house collecting dust for years. Not 1 of my dogs, over the years, played with it. I moved & lost it. Along came another avid chewer. Another kong purchased. I have now had the 2nd kong for 8 years, and not 1 tooth… read full review »

We got this toy for our dog - the largest size because we have a pitbull who tries to chew on just about everything.   Well, she sniffed it, pushed it around a bit ...... and left it there in the middle of the yard, never looked at it again, despite the peanut butter smell coming from the inside of it.   We took it in, washed it, added liverwurst spread to the inside and tried again.  STILL no favorable reaction from The One Who Mattered.   I think it was too bulky, she couldn't sink her teeth into it or get a good grip on it.   This is a pricey… read full review »

i put some peanut butter in my dogs kong and he just loves it! it keeps him busy for hours when I'm out. he also plays with it when it's empty and brings it to me so i can throw it for him. since he has an unusal shape it can roll any way which make sit even more fun for a dog to fetch. its almost indestructible. my 3 year old 120+ lb lab has had his kong for years. its easy to cklean, just wash it inside and out with hot, soapy water and rinse well. no need to buy the cans of kong stuff they sell, just use peanut butter from a… read full review »

They are easy to fill with cheese/yogurt/peanut butter, are great frozen for a summer time treat and go in the dishwasher for cleaning. The red color makes them easy to find when they get taken outside. They come in assorted sizes so all dogs can play with them. We have six, two for each dog, so they can always have a fun toy to play with. — Because of their shape they bounce "funny" when you throw them, so the dog never knows where it will bounce. —… read full review »

My dog loves this toy. He spends almost a full hour trying to get what ever treat I put in it out. It's his first pick out of his toy box. The same company makes treats specially formed for this toy, but just about any treat works as long as its small enough to eventually come out but large enough not to fall out on the first try. Peanut butter is a great treat to put insode, but after the dog is finished I would recommend washing the toy out so it doesn't get… read full review »
