Most HelpfulWhen our dog was a puppy he was chewing everything in the house to shreds. We tried many different methods to control this behavior and because our puppy was so large, he would chew through every chew toy we bought him within ten minutes or so. Our local pet shop recommended the Kong Puppy Rubber...

Most HelpfulAs a dog trainer, I bring up the Kong in every class I teach because they are amazing.
They keep dogs busy for hours if stuffed with yummy treats. This also stimulates your dogs brain as they try to get the treats out.
Have a dog with separation anxiety? A Kong may be just the thing to curb this behavior. Give a frozen stuffed Kong right before you leave and see the difference. Most all dogs with SA suffer the symptoms as you are leaving and right after you leave...if they have an irresistible Kong to keep them busy, it's easy for them to settle down.
They Kong itself is not exciting, I have students...
review »Over the past 40 years I've had my share of dogs. Everything from Cairns to Great Danes & everything in between. Several years ago I bought a kong for my new rescue dog, as she was teething on anything that didn't move, and a few moving objects as well. She sniffed it & walked away. I tried throwing it, peanut butter inside, you name it. It was a bomb. So I had that kong around my house collecting dust for years. Not 1 of my dogs, over the years, played with it. I moved & lost it. Along came another avid chewer. Another kong purchased. I have now had the 2nd kong for 8 years, and not 1 tooth mark...
review »Kong products makes awesome dog toys. They are durable and Kong even has a product for the toughest chewers. Just remember the darker the Kong the harder the rubber.
Kongs can be fun all by themselves. When you throw a Kong it will bounce in funny directions, keeping your dog guessing. but the best thing to do with a Kong is stuff it. You can put all kinds of things in a Kong, peanut butter is Sierra's favorite, but you can put apples and carrots, dog food and cookies. the harder you stuff it, the longer it will take the dog to finish it. You can even make a puppy popsicle with one...
review »As a devoted dog owner I not only want the best thing for my dogs who I view as my children but to get the best value for my money. The Kong was defintitly both! My Rottweiler Xena is very rough on her toys and with any toy no matter of much I spend on it is in shreds in about five minutes which leaves her with nothing to play with and a mess to clean up. But a few months back I bought her a black Kong from Petsmart and it's still in one piece and being enjoyed by her still. She loves to wrestle the treat out of it which keeps her busy and keeps her from taking her bordeom out on my shoes and...
