Most HelpfulI have several different credit cards in my wallet. Even though I am fully aware of the potential financial hazards of credit card ownership, I like to have several different credit cards because I like to take advantage of the latest offers. One credit card that I recently obtained is a card issued...

Most HelpfulNow, I am not one to shop with a credit card but my daughter kept telling me about the deals she would get by using her Kohl's card. I finally succumbed.
I must confess that I was not sold on the Kohl's store the first couple of times I shopped there. They don't have the brands I usually purchase so it took a while to convert me. The quality is not that great on most things but for some items quality doesn't matter. I have learned what I will buy there and what I will shy away from. They do have a liberal return policy and they will even let you pay the credit charge you just made at the same register!...
read full review »I never intended to sign up for a Kohl's credit card, but after making a large in-store purchase one day, the opportunity to receive 10% off my entire purchase was too tempting to refuse. Kohl's had me hook, line, and sinker.
While I try to curb my online spending, it can be difficult to do that when Kohls.com has some great clearance sales. Add to that, the coupons that I receive for additional discounts as well as coupon codes for free shipping, then I'm one happy shopper.
PROS:
There is no annual fee.
Kohl's always seems to be having a sale, both in-store and online.
As a Kohl's credit...
read full review »Love the stores....shop for mostly clothes, large selection! I recently got on-line to "try" and pay my bill with my bank card. I went around and around before finally calling customer service for help. Only to find out.....you can't....soo really this is only for shopping for new items to put on your Kohl"s card. Frustrated, to say the least! Sad that you have to have checks to pay your bill. *Warning* to the next customer, don't go w/o checks. If you need to pay-over-the-phone, there will be a $5 charge added to your bill. Nice, huh?! I thought so.

This is one great credit card! I love the fact that they give you the option to pay a certain dollar amount each month in return for no finance charge. This is truly a win-win! It's totally up to you, the consumer, to pay that payment or pay whatever you can afford. This is one card that makes me feel appreciated and rewarded. More credit card companies need to take a lesson from Kohls!! They would be rewarded with more loyal customers. They would still reap the return from those who always carry a balance. The difference with the Kohls Charge Card is that they give you an option.
They require you mail you payments 10 days prior to the due date. If they receive it 1 day late, they charge you $25.00 and are inflexible regarding this. I have never seen such requirements from other store charges (and I have several!) that it takes 10 days for them to receive and process a full paymethnt. They chose to loose my business than work with this. I had mailed my payment 7 days prior!
I'll use my HSBC Mastercard. They are much more flexible and pleasabt to deal with!
The Kohl's MVC card is great. I can save an additional 15% 3 times a year and getting the extra 15, 20 or 30% savings is great too. I have always had the best service and returning things are never a hassle. I use the Kohl's card every time I shop at Kohl's and when they have a special percent off or if you spend $50 you get $10 in Kohl's cash, the card is definitely worth it. I have had my card for about 15 years and have never regretted opening the account.
