About three months ago, we went to our local Best Buy in search of a new printer to replace our old Hewlett Packard. The salesman highly recommended the Kodak printer, citing its affordable price and economical replacement cartridges. The store only had one Kodal All In One...ESP5 printer left in stock. When he could show me that it worked, I agreed to accept it out of box for a ten percent discount. However, when he brought it to the counter, we discovered it was in two pieces. The paper tray was broken. Best Buy discounted the machine by an extra 10 percent, and agreed to take it, as is. The machine does print well, but the construction is obviously cheap, and I have no clue how long it will last. We do not print too many copies each week, so that is working in our favor. However, when our cat jumps on the machine, the paper tray and paper (and cat) always go flying. Good thing he has nine lives. I hope the Kodak printer does, too. (By the way, this machine is extremely noisy during the spooling process.)
