My father-in-law bought this camera for me on Black Friday in 2008 and gave it to me for Christmas. I had wanted a small reliable camera to take pictures of my son who was due to be born in the spring. The camera worked great for the first several months until one day I went to turn it on and only received a single beep and a light flashing saying that the battery needed to be charged. We tried several times to charge the battery, it would say it was finished charging but would still not turn on. I bought a new battery thinking maybe mine had gone bad. But even after charging all night it would not turn on. My husband called Kodak and they were very nice helping him to run several diagnostic tests and finally decided to have him ship it too one of their affiliated servicers. I sent it (had to pay for my own shipping) and received it back after a couple weeks. The camera turned on and worked, but now half the pictures were fuzzy and out of focus. We called Kodak again and convinced them to pay for the shipping this time around. Currently its been a week and they still have my camera. Lets hope its fixed this time. One important note, Kodak made an exception and took my camera without a copy of the receipt, but their policy says if you do not have a receipt you basically have no warranty... keep your receipt!
