Kodak - EasyShare Z612 Digital Camera —

I was somewhat dismayed after my first digital camera lasted about 3 years. ($100 for each year I owned it.) When I called the company, they said it would be cheaper to replace it than to fix it.  Grrrr!  For about a year after that, I used a simple 35 mm film camera and had Walgreen's put the pictures to disc.  That was getting too expensive.  Then I stumbled into Best Buy when they were having a sale.

I'm not a professional photographer by any means.  However, I have learned NOT to look at the 'digital zoom' but the 'optical zoom' capabilities of a camera.  This one has a 12 X optical zoom; very good for a camera in this price range.  That's great for zooming in and getting just the right shot.  I also like the bigger than normal LCD screen on the backside.  I could go on...and on with technical mumbo, jumbo.  But, I don't understand it.  All I know is aim, zoom, take the picture.

The SD card slides right in the front of my PC for either transferring them to a folder in my PC, Emailing them, or printing them.  Pretty good camera for us "dummies".
