Kodak - EasyShare Z1275 Digital Camera Review

I had a perfectly good Sony Mavica  digital camera  which I enjoyed for six years.  I decided I needed smaller camera with more megapixels.  This fits the bill well.  It has an internal memory that holds about 16 photos and I added a 2GB SD Memory Card. This camera came with a set of batteries and a cords to download to a computer and show photos on a tv.  The batteries that came with it were extremely short lived.  I was aware that it needed rechargeable batteries as it was stated by QVC when I was viewing it.  I purchased a set of rechargeable batteries and a charger at the same time I bought the camera.  The rechargeable battteries work extremely well.  I understand that it is possible to buy batteries that can be recharged in the camera from Kodak, but I have not done this.  This camera did not come with a case. 

This camera came with a free membership to the Kodak Share Gallery and a $30 credit for products from this site.  I am using the Gallery, but I have not used the credit as of yet.  I have found it easy to upload photos to the site or to any other photo program on my computers.  I have also been able to email photos with no problems.  I have not tried showing the photos on a tv yet. I found that several of my friends and family have purchased other Easy Share Digital Cameras that are similar to mine, but I have more megapixels than any of them have.  I found out that I could purchase a case that exactly fits my camera from Wal Mart for about $10, but I found that I had a small purse that was big enough to hold my camera, the manual, the cords and extra batteries without expending any exta money.

I gave this camera to myself as a Christmas present and have been using it for a little over a month.  I am still learning how to use some of the features, but have found them easy to set and use.  I still have a few settings, like the one for fireworks which I have not had reason to use.  I have been very satisfied with this camera.  It is not one of the super small digital cameras, but it fits easily into a jacket pocket.

I would recommend this camera to anyone looking for a good, easy to use digital camera that takes high resolution photos.  Can be fully automatic or you can set the camera for the type of photos you are taking.
