After waiting more than a few years to buy my first digital camera I recently decided to purchase this EasyShare Kodak camera z1275. It's been one of the best decisions I've ever made! I've had experience with digital cameras before, having worked with or borrowed one from a friend. So I was familiar with what to look for in a digital camera.
Most of my friends had a 3 or 4 megapixel camera. I knew that digital cameras were going as high as 7 megapixels in 2007, so I knew I had done the smart thing by waiting a few years. When I saw this Kodak EasyShare camera having 12 megapixels and I saw the price, I immediately jumped on it. I've owned this camera for under a month now and I use it all the time!
The one thing I love the most about my camera besides the 5 optical zoom lens is that when I take a photo in the 12 MP mode, I can later crop the photo and get a close-up of my subject from over 100 feet away with no loss in resolution. I was just blown away by what I could do with a 12 MP camera.
Here are some other features that I like:
If after I take a photo I decide I don't like it, I can immediately delete it before it is stored in my camera. And, if by some chance I accidentally delete a photo, I can instantly bring it back!
If I take a photo in the dark with poor lighting during the day, the camera somehow magically fixes the picture and gives it enough light as if were taken with a lot of light. So you really can't go wrong with this camera! There are all kinds of features like movie mode, nighttime mode, close-up mode, and even panoramic mode but I find this feature a little difficult to do, as it supposedly "threads" the 3 frames together.
This EasyShare digital camera also has a self-timer so you can take photos of yourself, giving you a 10 second delay.
If you've been looking for a digital camera that gives you excellent photos and lots of megapixels, I highly recommend this one!
