This camera truly is easy to use.

This camera has been wonderful.  I have taken it to Disney World twice, more than a few concerts, out on walks and have used it as our family camcorder in the two years I've owned it.  It's small enough to fit in my pocket, and since it takes inexpensive SD cards for memory, I can carry along extras.  Video isn't limited to any length, it's just limited by how much memory you have so I take lots and later crop out still images for the photo album.  I don't print bigger than 8x10 pictures, so the resolution is fine for me - I may upgrade to a newer version of the same camera in the future but for now this one works fine.

I would have expected more from a brand called KODAK

I got this camera for Christmas 2 years ago.  Its not a bad little camera.  I actually had a Fuji Finepix that I liked well enough at the time, but I saw a sale on the Kodak and it looked like it would be technically a bettter camera, which I thought would help me take better photos.  Turns out I should have kept the FinePix, because the Kodak Easyshare is just average at best. The flash is too slow.  The actual photo taking capability is waaaay too slow.  The only thing this is good for is your average holiday family photo session.  Even too slow for snapping pix at my kids sporting events... all i ever get are random blurs, or miss the shot alltogether while the first one is saving or whatever it is doing that always takes so long. I have bought faster, expensive memory cards and more powerful batteries but to no avail.  Also, even the color quality is lacking compared to my old Fuji.  I guess it's my own fault... I saw the Kodak name and expected Kodak color and Kodak quality.  Should have checked out some reviews first I guess :)  My next camera will be a Fuji, or at least not a Kodak.

Great Kodak Easy Share camera!!

This is a great camera! Light weight, so easy to use. The Kodak Easy Share V530 is the perfect first digital camera. I love the easiness of operating this camera. You can edit pictures, crop a picture right on the camera without having to download to your computer. It is really easy to hook up to the computer and upload your pictures and the software that comes with it is so easy to use. This camera is very durable mine has been dropped many times by the grandkids. It keeps on working. Kodak has always made great products. The zoom is great, I love for the ball games, and parties for the kids. I am looking to buy another Kodak maybe a little more powerful, I know it will be great too. I keep it in my purse so I have it with me all the time. I took it to a Princess Breakfast at church for the little girls. Everyone else had the bigger SLR cameras, when the pictures came back mine where as nice as everyone elses.

Kodak - EasyShare V530

I purchased this and and I am impressed by the picture quality from this camera and compactness. It is very easy to use, has simple controls. The dock looks nice on my desk, the black color is way cool (for a conservative guy like me.) It fits nicely in my pocket, has a nice neck strap. It charges fast. The screen is smaller than the newer model, and bright. Simple controls control the shot, and the presets work great. This camera is so simple to use, once installed, you place the camera in the dock, push the computer button, and Kodak software is launched automatically and all new photos are copied to your computer. Red eye reduction feature in the software blows me away, it works so well and at the touch of a button.

Kodak EasyShare V530 is Easy and Dependable

I absolutely love my Kodak Easyshare V530 camera. It has been my college pal and now young adult partner in crime for almost 6 years now. The camera is extremely easy to use and has many setting options to select from. I have taken sports/action photos, photos from theme park rides, and portraits. It has traveled with me to the beach and to the lake. It's easy to carry in a case or by itself. It's very durable and has taken some beatings from the years of use. The quality of the pictures it takes are great; I couldn't ask for better for the size and cost of this camera. The video quality is decent if there is enough light, but that is a general rule of thumb for videos and pictures. As the camera has gotten older, I notice the battery does not last nearly as long as it use to. You can not just carry an extra charged battery to replace it. The whole Easyshare system is great; we have the picture printer dock you just set the camera on and print pictures out. The printing your own pictures is pretty pricey, but it's great for a scrapbooker like myself who might need an instant picture and can't wait on the developement. Also, you can print multiple sizes when the camera is hooked to the dock.

good starter camera

I bought this camera three years ago and can't say I regret it. It takes video ,the pictures it takes could be in magazines, and it fits in my back pocket. The soft ware on the other hand has been glitchy-although kodak has updated it and it is better-it takes over your computer.Easy fix you gust have to tweek the settings if you know how.I did take it to the beach once and recommend plastic baggies this thing doesn't like sand at all not even the kind in the air. After having it cleaned no problems-the shutter will close halfway sometimes.I have replaced the battery twice in this short time and I don't like that and when taking video you can hear the zoom in the video so watch how much you play with that.Otherwise I got a great camera for my money and sence it was my first it has taught me what I want and don't want in a digital. As for something that will last I would look for something else this thing has been panpered and probable won't last another year.

The Kodak-EasyShare V530 is a wonderful camera for beginners.

I got my Kodak-EasyShare V530 last year and I have loved it since I took it out of the package. It is very simple and easy to use.The camera has many wonderful features such as red eye reduction and video. It also has several different settings that you can use such as a setting for sports (or action shots) , a setting for portaits (or close ups) , and setting for sunrises , fireworks , flowers , black and white photos, sepia toned photos, and many more. There are ways to save the photo to the camera so it wont accidently get erased (I dont know about you but I hate it when I accidently delete a wonderful picture.) There is a timer so if you want to be in the picture instead of just behind the camera all you have to do is set the timer and pose. It is truly a great piece of equipment to own for any photographer, whether you are only a photographer for a hobby or not. I have taken over 10,000 pictures with my Kodak-EasyShare V530. It stays with me at all times. I never leave home without it.

My photos will never be dull again!

My husband got me my first camera years ago.  It was the old kind that used film.  I was sure this was the best picture I could take.  Unfortunatley my old camera had seen better days and broke.  My daugher decided I needed to be in the 21 century and have a digital camera.  Needless to say I was severely disappointed upon receiving a digital camera.  I had no idea how quickly I was going to have to eat my thoughts!!!  My Kodak easy share is the LOVE of my life.  It takes pictures that my old film camera never could of.  I can crop, enlarge, etc all right there on my camera before I ever even develop any photos and I can choose if I want a photo printed or not.  This is a deliteful experience!  It takes excellent photos that are crisp and clean and no chance of them coming out fuzzy or underdeveloped, you can SEE the picture before you print it!!  My daughter uses it for her fair photos she submits every year and always takes ribbons in her classes.  I say two thumbs UP!

Kodak has been around forever for a reason.

I purchased one of these cameras at a clearence sale and I absolutly love it. It has many settings, takes great pictures, fit's into purse or pocket for when we are out and about which is all the time. We had an earlier version of Kodak's easy share that is very durable and the kids still use and we hope that the V530 which has double the pixels holds up just as well. So far we are very happy.

Kodak Easyshare V530 is easy to use

4

Kodak Easyshare V530  I have been useing this camera for more than a year and I find it to be easy to use, in a average setting with plenty of light.  In the dark it is useless the flash doesn't carry more than a few feet.  Outside it is perfect as almost every camera I have ever used has been. Indoors with almost any light behind the subject you get a very bright light behind subject and not a good picture of what you want.   The computer software that comes with the camera is very easy to use. Loading pictures to computer couldn't be easier.  Put camera in base and push one button, that is it.  Picture manipulation is also very easy. Crop, enlarge and change from light to dark, are all right there.  you can keep the original and keep the changed picture. Printing the pictures is also an easy operation. choose the pictures to print and follow simple on screen instruction to get great pictures. all in all I have to say for someone like myself who want's pictures of GrandChildren this is a great camera at a rather low price.  Thank You: James
