Great Camera for the Price

4

I have owned the Kodak Easy Share CX7430 for over 4 years and I am still pleased with its picture quality considering it is an older model camera. When I purchased this camera the price was much higher than it is now, I didn't want to spend hundreds on a camera, but I did want the quality of a great camera. This camera is simple to use, the display screen is rather large, I like that I can view the picture, and decide if I want to keep it or delete the image. The best pictured I have ever taken have been outdoors, in the natural light, the images are clear and crisp, when printing them out I am amazed by the quality. The features are as expected, there's 9 scene modes to adjust the camera to the setting. I purchased the small printing dock that this camera goes with to print pictures fast and it's fairly simple. I have learned a great deal about digital cameras since making this purchase, and now know the 4.0 mega pixels isn't a super high quality picture, but this camera has taken some really nice up close up photos of my family, scenery outdoors and birthday party images. I have replaced the original batteries that come with the camera, but the rechargeable batteries I am using now don't last very long at all. I also want to mention the video function, which I have used a number of times, I think it's neat to have video and photo in one camera. I am still learning how to take good pictures,I have since purchased a better camera but this one is still a good camera for the money.

This camera takes good quality pictures for the economical cost of it. My family and I have used the camera for many special occasions such as a family wedding, summer vacations, family reunion, and birthday parties. The photos taken have been of great quality.

Excellent and easy to use

My sister had this camera and I used it. I liked it so much I bought one. I download photos to my computer and print them on my printer. It is so easy! I sold my 35mm after a few weeks. i wouldn't go back, it sure beats developing. I enjoy the capacity of the photos I can take and the overall flexibility of the camera. I would buy another if I had a problem with this one yet I don't see that happening.

I bought my Kodak Easy Share CX 7430 when they first came out and i absolutely love it, i dont go anywhere without it, it is truly amazing, the day digital cameras were invented it was the best invention ever, know more developing or keeping up with a roll of film i like the features of the camera because it makes taking pictures so easy no matter what time of the day it is, you can always adjust the setting to whatever you want for clear pictures it is quite durable also, i dont have any issue with my Kodak digital camera, a little child can perform the function of this camera because it is so easy to use. if i need to at some point purchase another camera i most certainly buy another Kodak easy share.

Kodak EasyShare CX7430 Digital Camera

The Kodak EasyShare series are unique because of the printing base and ease of creating your own finished pictures. Though I have no complaints about the photos I took with this camera, I had some particular problems with the dependability and quality of it. First, the battery door is very flimsy, and prone to being broken because of it is made of plastic. It is very thin in two spots that should be stronger to withstand being opened from time to time. The same applies to the memory slot. I am pretty handy with small parts, and was able to repair both a couple of times when necessary. Parts were easy to find on the internet, apparently because many folks recycled their CX7430 when they broke or became inoperable. I finally discarded mine when the LCD screen gave out. I'm sorry I don't have a lot of pros to discuss as a result of its poor quality. However, I did like the ability to take photos and get finished prints without having to rely on the local photofinishing shop, and it was a lot cheaper too. I wouldn't recommend this particular camera to anyone. I ultimately had no choice but to replace it with another brand with a higher quality reputation.

Kodak EasyShare is a great camera for a casual shutterbug!

My mother gave me this camera at least 8 years ago and it still works great! For someone who just takes casual candid photographs to preserve memories, this is a really good camera. The photo quality is good and it's really easy to transfer the photos from the camera to the computer. Like any digital camera, it does suck the batteries, but I have 4 pairs of Energizer rechargeable batteries that I swap out and I have no issues of not having the camera ready. I love this camera. It's a great product for the value.

Very happy customer

First and foremost, this camera rocks.  After going through other budget models from other manufacturers, I decided to spend a little more to get this outstanding camera. The main problem I had with all the other cameras that I had bought was the screen images were so choppy when I moved the camera around, it was hard to close in on anyone because it was so delayed. So when I got this camera, I was very satisfied, it is still a little bit choppy at times, but much better than anything else that I used. I got this camera a couple of years ago, and although it was a bit expensive then, the price for the same one now makes this camera an exceptional deal. the other thing I like is the included software, which makes photo editing very easy, and best of all it was free. Overall, I feel that purchasing this camera was a no brainer, and for anyone out there debating it. my suggestion is that yout wont be dissappointed at all, it is well worth it.

i bought my kodak back in 2005 for my now ex-fiancé's prom. best investment i have ever made in a camera. i have since used it for nature shots as well for my model building hobby. the resolution is excellent. great quality in pictures. love the video setting as well. i recommend this camera to someone who wants to start simple but still wants the digital doo-dads along with the fun of snapping a picture.

Good value for the price.

I bought this camera over five years ago while I was in college. At the time it seemed like a lot of money, but now I realize what a value it was. This is a better point and shoot for its time. It has multiple settings that really are helpful once you figure out how to use each one. The setting for night time is good for indoors with low light. The setting for action is really good as long as you have enough light. My favorite setting is the macro. In natural light and with a steady hand you can take some fairly decent photos of flowers, food, and people. The portrait or auto settings are good multipurpose settings. I have used this camera to take food photos for a blog, photos of our babies, and engagement photos back when we first got married. I love how easy it is to take with you because of the built in handle string. Eventually I may upgrade to a DSLR, but this is a really good valued camera for the price.

Great all around camera

Great camera, with lots of options for editing and viewing and deleting photos right off the camera. Can be plugged into computer or terminal at store for quick easy prints. Lots of zoom focus and quick sports style snapshots. It takes great high quality photos and has multiple options for memory, including a memory card or internal memory. Also takes short vidoe which is decent quality, but if you are serious about video then you need a digital camcorder. Very well priced camera for it's quality. Mine has taken a beating in travels and still manages to produce great quality photos and great focus and zoom capability's. A good deal for those looking for a good camera on a budget I would highly reccomend to my friends. In fact my in-laws bought one because of my camera's capabilites and how impressed they were with it! Small compact and light makes it great for travel. Also has the ability to plug into kodaks printers for cameras that need no comuter hook-up to run.
