One of the best cameras I have ever owned!

5

I have been using this camera for a few years now.  I originally had one of the other Kodak cameras and it was good as well, but I try to upgrade as time goes on.  This camera is 5 MP, but it performs better than some other cameras with a higer pix rating.  This camera consistently delivers very clear, sharp pictures.  I added a 1g card for extra pics and it makes things so simple.  You have the option to hook it up directly (via cord) to your computer, but the card is quicker.  It will only hold a few internal photos, so the card is best.  Lots of picture options such as black and white, sepia tone, etc. I also use this as my main video camera.  I take videos and then we plug this directly into the tv and the camera becomes a video player as it shows everyone a slideshow and my videos on the tv screen.  Fantastic!  Video quality is pretty good, but not as clear as the pics ... and it does include sound. Only con is that the LCD screen on back is a little smaller than some they have today and the camera is a little larger than the new shirt pocket size, but you can see the pics and zoom in to make sure you get a good shot - all very simple!  Menu driven and use friendly.  I give it an A++.  So much so, I just purchased a new LCD screen after I dropped it so I can refurbish this old camera instead of buying a fancy new one.  BRAVO - Kodak is the best quality in my book!   Image Quality It is very good quality for a megapixel amount that is now considered outdated. Still, very clear photos! Performance I really like it better than my newer camera, although the view screen is small. Ease of Use Easy to use and user friendly menus. Durability I have dropped this a lot with very little scratching and damage; however, a can of deet bug spray barely got on the plastic and ate it away. Battery Life Uses double "A" alkaline batteries. Ok on regular photos, but closeup feature photos will drain it almost immediately. Portability Not near as small as most are these days, a bit bulky.

Kodak Easyshare - good camera

4

Kodak is a good brand. They have nice, easy to use cameras for a good price. This is a basic point and shoot camera. Nothing too fancy. Nice design and good quality. EasyShare takes really good pictures and the zoom is not bad either. It doesn't have tons of features, pretty much the basic..night, snow, close up, landscape...etc. But it does what it's supposed to well. One thing I liked about this camera is that not only is it easy to use but it also is good quality. Kodak camera tend to last a good long time and are very reliable. I didn't really have any problems with it. The software and all the camera feature worked fine and continued to work fine for as long as I used it. This is a good camera for someone who is just a casual user, just on vacations or road trips. It's inexpensive but still works just as good as some of the other brands. I don't really have any cons for this camera, it's reliable and sturdy, lasts a long time and is inexpensive. What more do you need!

Kodak - Easy Share dx4530 Not a Bad Little Camera at All

5

I was tired of my kids always swiping my camera and not having one when I needed one so I decided to get myself an extra one. I purchased the Kodak - Easy Share dx4530. The camera take great shots with its 5.0 megapixel sensor. It creates 2588 x 1954 images for high-resolution prints up to poster size which is really cool. Even if you have the pictures made very large they still come out nice and clear. The Kodak - Easy Share DX4530 has a 3x optical zoom and 3.3x digital zoom for 10x total. It also has 32 MB internal memory with slot for adding MMC and SD memory cards. The camer will take videos up to 60 seconds long that include audio. the camera takes 2 double AA batteries to work and the battery life is actually quite good. The camera comes with the following: USB Cable Video Cable which you can use to show slide shows on your television, this is a pretty nice feature. Product manual Kodak Easyshare software 5 sheets of trial photo paper. I have been very pleased with this nice inexpensive camera so far. I am not a professional photographer by any means but this suits my needs just fine and makes great clear pictures for me to post on line. Image Quality Image quality is excellent. Performance So far it has performed like a champ, no complaints. Ease of Use This is a very easy camera to use even for someone who is not tecnical at all like myself to use. Durability I have only had it a couple of months but so far it is holding out just fine. Battery Life Battery life is decent for a camera of this type. Portability Very portable nice and small in size fits easily in to my purse.

Kodak DX4530

This was and still is my only digital camera I have. I bought it years ago. Can't remember the cost but I'm sure they are less expensive today. I have no complaints on this camera. Takes clear pictures. You can review the pictures and delte if you don't want it. I download the pics into my computer and then send to an online photo developping site. Photos come out great even though sent thru internet. For being my first digital I have no complaints on the DX 4530. Cameras are smaller now but this isn't that big. I can carry it in my pants pocket.

Awesome Kodak color, but a little outdated in today's market

4

This was the first five megapixel digital camera I used. Kodak was most renowned for it's film color rendition in the past and it did not forget that in this model. The camera takes a few moments to power on, but that is normal for a zoom point and shoot camera. This model caputres a maximum of 5 megapixels on it's CCD imager. When you compare the images of this versus a higher megapixel camera you realize that the additional pictures do not make a difference for amateur photographers. There is no image stabilization on this camera, something that was not common when it was made. The rear LCD is small, but functional. The problem with the LCD or perhaps the imaging sensor is that it is too dark in low light to easily frame pictures. However, there is a small optical view finder, so that can be used. The view finder is also good to use sports photography, although by no means is this camera recommended for sports. Overall, this is a good camera with fantastic color.

Best Digital Camera I've ever, owned, period. Subpurb.

I purchased this Kodak-Easy Share DX4530 camera about 7 years ago.  It has never given a problem of any kind.  I've took countless photo's and 90% of them have been awesome.  The other 10% was due to my shaking, movement, or bad lighting.  Nothing wrong in the camera, for sure.  It is a 5.0 mega pixel, with 3 x  optical zoom, along with recording, depending upon the card one uses, you could make a 30 minute movie, with sound.  It has easy features, and buttons, and a large viewing screen on the reverse so that you can either look through the view finder eye, or just hold it up and view the screen and then "snap the photo"?  It's awesome, and I have some of the greatest memories that I loaded onto my pc, and then made CD's so that these photo's are going to last a lifetime, maybe even my grand daughter's lifetime?  If one could only buy one digital camera, this would be the one.  However, I'm like most all persons, that want to upgrade and keep up with technology, so when I have to buy another digital camera, it will be a Kodak, however I will upgrade the pixel's and the optical zoom.  Being able to have 15 and 18 and even higher optical zoom along with 15 or even higher mega pixel camera's out there, it's only right, that when this one conks out on me, I'll be buying the higher pixel's and optical zoom.  But I'm not sure if it will ever give out?  It's tough, rugged, and has taken drops and it keeps on ticking.  Very simple, and yet some of the best photo's that I've seen taken by other more costly camera's, this camera just does an awesome job. Thank you.

Easy to use, very reliable and very good pictures

I have had the Kodak Easy Share DX 4530 Digital camera for about three years. It has been very reliable and gives quality pictures every time. I have taken hundreds of picture with it and it has never failed to take excellent pictures. I bought a 1gb card for it and can take hundreds of pictures before having to download any of them. t takes just as good pictures now as it did when I first purchased it. It has a built in flash that works every time you need it. It has a timer that you can set and take a group picture and have time to get in the picture. The camera also has  a video built in to take videos. It takes better pictures tha some cameras that I have paid more for.It has a nice size view finder or you can look through the small view finder. You can view your pictures immediately after you take them or wait until you download them. I use the rechargable batteries in so if the batteries get low you can just add some more and recharge the ones you take out. It is a great camera .

A great digital camera

Kodak's Easy Share Dx4530 is a great little digital camera. Its easy to use for the first timers and it has a lot of features on it. It has 5.0 mega pixels, auto setting, sports for all the moms that want to capture that great moment when our kids make their first goal, night, landscape , close up and video. It also has a built in flash that you can set to automatic. The Easy Share comes with its own docking station  and  program for your computer so that you can easily transfer pictures from the camera to the computer. The program also lets you edit the pictures to get red out out, crop the picture or even enlarge it the way that you want to and you can even share them with friends and family. The other nice thing about the program for the computer is that is shows you how to create calenders, cards and scrape book pages with your pictures. This is a great little camera for the price and would make a great first time digital camera for anyone that wants one.

It has been extremely enjoyable taking pictures, videos with this camera. I take it every where with me. It also easily deletes anything you don't want. It is very simple to plug into your computer and makes beautiful slide show presentations. My whole family has enjoyed my camera and all the pictures we have taken. I really like it because of the ease of using it and the great results that it produces.
