Most HelpfulIt used to be more ecconomical to buy a whole new printer than to replace your ink cartridges. I have several in my office graveyard to attest to that. Then there was the onset of the cartridge refills. I tried to do that myself once but it didn't work. Then I took one to a retailer to have filled and learned that you have to bring it in while it still has some ink in it--what a rip-off. The solution? The Kodak 5100 All-in-One printer? The cartridges are the same prices as some retailers charge for refills. Instead of paying $50 for one cartridge, you can spend $25 and have both...
review »I happened upon the Kodak 5100 all in one while shopping for a new printer for my office. I compared the price at quite a few places including Office Depot, Dell and a few others. I was still in the decision process when I read how cheap the ink is. I can buy 2 black cartridges and 2 color cartridges for less than what I would pay for one color cartridge with my other all in one printer. I purchased it finally through Kodak.com which came at 50% off with the purchase of a Kodak camera which was 75% off. It was definitely a real steal. I received the printer, a 5 mega pixel camera, the...
review »I have had my Kodak All in One printer for about 6 months now. I have been very pleased with the quality of the print jobs I have completed on it, and i like its versitility. It is really nice to have this combo at home. I have no been overwhelmd by the cost of at home printing. And I am very glad to own this product.
On the other hand, I have also had a lot of problems with the printer feeding more than one page at a time. In fact the whole paper feeding process has been frustrating for me with this printer.
I am by no means a computer expert; but, I doubt that most people reading this review are....
review »I went to buy another Lexmark printer as I found it's cheaper to buy a new machine than to buy the ink. A salesperson came up to me and showed me the new Kodak 5100 all-in-one. I was a little hesitant as it was just new on the market. He then explained to me how the printer came about and it sold me. I asked about the ink cartridges and he said that that was the best part and took me to where they sold the ink. I couldn't believe the price! I buy the double pack which is $22.95 I was spending close to $85 on Lexmark ink cartridges! I bought the printer and an extra package of cartridges...
review »When I purchased the Kodak Easy-Share 5300 printer I was very excited about the economical replacement ink cartridges. Because I home school 6 children I thought the printer/scanner combination was perfect for me. I was using it on a daily basis and found that I was having to replace them quite frequently. And I was not even using it for photographs. It made me a bit upset because although the cartridges are less expensive, it seemed as though I was replacing them ALOT. Also, if the black ran out, I HAD to replace it. Otherwise it would not make any copies even in color. However, when I started...
review »I have had the Kodak 5100 All-In-One Printer for a few years now. My main use for the printer has been to print pictures from my computer. I think the quality of the printed pictures are very good. I have had trouble with the print head. It is frustrating when things don't come out as they should due to this print head problem. I have called Kodak though, and they have been very helpful with providing me with a new print head a couple times and even replaced the computer once, completely free of charge. So I can't complain too much.
I like that there is a separate place to use photo paper,...
