Kodak 5100 All-in-one Inkjet Printer Review Summary

Printers are a necessity for any computer owner but the problem with many of them is the expense of replacing the ink. With the Kodak 5100 All in One Inkjet Printer, the problems with costly ink are mostly eliminated. Kodak 5100 All in One Inkjet Printer uses ink sparingly, and this is one of the many qualities that make this printer so compelling. Reviewers also appreciate the Kodak 5100 All in One Inkjet Printer for its ease of use and the fact that you can easily switch from color to black and white printing, to conserve ink even further. “Now You Can Afford to Actually USE Your Printer” says one satisfied customer, and others also feel that the Kodak 5100 All in One Inkjet Printer is a very good printer for the money. It takes up a little more space than Other Printers, but its positive qualities easily overshadow the negatives.

When I saw the infomercial on T.V., I knew I just had to have this printer. Everything they say is true. The quality is that of Kodak and this is another product that they can be proud of. The ink lasts very well and the price is less than have of what I am used to paying. I had a problem with the printer,... review »

This printer has never print anything with out streaks, I have done all the maintenance it says to do, and things seem to be getting worse. Everyday it will stop printing black ink, so I have to run a printhead cleaning witch does seem to help (although everything still prints alittle gray) and then... review »

We were looking for a printer recently and needed one immediately. We were just looking at some cheap printers you know like 30 bucks! Then you look at the ink and it costs 30+ just for the black ink. We saw the Kodak all in one and decided we needed to just put the money down for something more versatile. We saw the Kodak 5100 in the store for like 89.99 and it served all our purposes. You can print of course, and scan things and of course copy. The printing quality on the printer is excellent. I create things with Print-master like invitations and what not and they come out great. The printer... review »

It used to be more ecconomical to buy a whole new printer than to replace your ink cartridges.  I have several in my office graveyard to attest to that.  Then there was the onset of the cartridge refills.  I tried to do that myself once but it didn't work.  Then I took one to a retailer to have filled and learned that you have to bring it in while it still has some ink in it--what a rip-off.  The solution?  The Kodak 5100 All-in-One printer?  The cartridges are the same prices as some retailers charge for refills.  Instead of paying $50 for one cartridge, you can spend $25 and have both...

I happened upon the Kodak 5100 all in one while shopping for a new printer for my office.  I compared the price at quite a few places including Office Depot, Dell and a few others.  I was still in the decision process when I read how cheap the ink is.  I can buy 2 black cartridges and 2 color cartridges for less than what I would pay for one color cartridge with my other all in one printer.  I purchased it finally through Kodak.com which came at 50% off with the purchase of a Kodak camera which was 75% off.  It was definitely a real steal.  I received the printer, a 5 mega pixel camera, the...

This Kodak Inkjet Printer works pretty good.  I'm very satisfied with the quality and turnout of my pictures.  Overall, I would say it's probably one of the best printers I've personally used.  I used to have a hard time figuring things out due to my lack of tech skills, but this printer is easy to use with user-friendly instructions.  If you're looking for a good quality printer, I'd say go with this one!

The Kodak All-in-one printer does a good job printing documents not so good on pictures. I have had to replace the printhead 3 times since I purchased the printer 8 mths ago. For the price it has performed well overall.

We bought the Kodak 5100 with out reviewing it first.  After the purchase was made I did the research and was not happy with what I had found.  Most everyone HATED this printer because of the ink problems.  (Flashing Red Lights)  I swore to myself that this was not going to happen to me!  I got the printer set up, and sure enough, Flashing Red Lights.  I went online and downloaded the manual.  Sorry, no they do not send it to you in the box.  When you get the printer, the ink head is not installed.  You have to do this yourself.  Once I removed the head, and reseated it, it worked fine. ... review »

I have had my Kodak All in One printer for about 6 months now. I have been very pleased with the quality of the print jobs I have completed on it, and i like its versitility. It is really nice to have this combo at home. I have no been overwhelmd by the cost of at home printing. And I am very glad to own this product.

On the other hand, I have also had a lot of problems with the printer feeding more than one page at a time. In fact the whole paper feeding process has been frustrating for me with this printer.

I am by no means a computer expert; but, I doubt that most people reading this review are....

I love the new way Kodak has the ink...

My husband almost backed out of getting me this printer until he saw the low price for the ink. We have a teen that loves to print out things and it gets costly with the other printers. So the $99 we paid fo rthe printer has saved us soooo much in the long run. And the ink last a long time unless doing really large graphics. I am a writter and am always printing out my revisions to read and edit and having to pay only $9.99 for the black in is soo cool.

I love the way Kodak put the USB port right on the printer and the program to use it is really easy...

I went to buy another Lexmark printer as I found it's cheaper to buy a new machine than to buy the ink.  A salesperson came up to me and showed me the new Kodak 5100 all-in-one.  I was a little hesitant as it was just new on the market.  He then explained to me how the printer came about and it sold me.  I asked about the ink cartridges and he said that that was the best part and took me to where they sold the ink.  I couldn't believe the price!  I buy the double pack which is $22.95  I was spending close to $85 on Lexmark ink cartridges! I bought the printer and an extra package of cartridges...

When I purchased the Kodak Easy-Share 5300 printer I was very excited about the economical replacement ink cartridges. Because I home school 6 children I thought the printer/scanner combination was perfect for me. I was using it on a daily basis and found that I was having to replace them quite frequently. And I was not even using it for photographs. It made me a bit upset because although the cartridges are less expensive, it seemed as though I was replacing them ALOT. Also, if the black ran out, I HAD to replace it. Otherwise it would not make any copies even in color. However, when I started...

I have had the Kodak 5100 All-In-One Printer for a few years now. My main use for the printer has been to print pictures from my computer. I think the quality of the printed pictures are very good. I have had trouble with the print head. It is frustrating when things don't come out as they should due to this print head problem.  I have called Kodak though, and they have been very helpful with providing me with a new print head a couple times and even replaced the computer once, completely free of charge. So I can't complain too much.

I like that there is a separate place to use photo paper,...

Purchased Kodak 5100- failed on initial set up, Kodak replaced.  Replacement broke down every six months (usually eating up 3 sets of ink).  Gave up and purchased a ESP3 because I liked the quality - ESP3 no better. Less then a week and photos are awful.  Friends purchased Kodak 5100 and have had the exact experience.  Overall the printer has cost me more to operate then any other printer on the market.  I worked with computer printers for over 25 years including HP (probably about 50 different models), Brother and Epson.  All were more reliable.

I have really enjoyed my scanner, it is a wonderful product.  I can copy and print as well as scan and email.   It scans very clearly.  I have used many different products in the past and I have never been as please as I am with my Kodak.  I highly recommend it.  It is fast and easy to use.  Affordable ink, less than $10 for black and $15 for color.  Has black and white settings.  Comparable purchase price.  It prints, scans and copies.  It also has a tray for 4x6 photo paper.
