Knorr Sides Plus Veggies: Teriyaki Noodles With Asian Style Vegetables —

I recently picked up a package of Knorr's Sides Plus Veggies:  Teriyaki Noodles With Asian Style Vegetables to take along on our campiing weekend.  We usually try to bring along quick fixes for a meal or two instead of having to eat sandwiches the entire weekend.  I saw the Knorr Sides Plus packages on the shelf and thought this blend sounded good and a good way to get veggies in the man of the house who prefers meat and potatoes for the most part.  The only con was the high sodium content.

The Facts

Knorr's Sides Plus Veggies:  Teriyaki Noodles With Asian Style Vegetables comes in a package that all you have to do is tear it open and pour the contents into boiling water (with a teaspoon of cooking oil) in order to prepare.  The package contains two 1 cup servings.

Each serving contains 340 calories of which 80 are from fat.  The sodium content is alarming at 690 mg or 29% of the total daily recommended allowance.

My Viewpoint

While this is a quick and easy dish to prepare, I wasn't impressed with the nutritional values or the taste of this dish at all.

First of all, it had a rather bland taste to it in my opinion.  It has vegetables, but they don't have the fresh vegetable taste.  Although Knorr claims that this dish has carrots, green beans and mushrooms, I didn't notice any mushrooms but that may have been oversight since I wasn't inspecting it at the time.  The main thing you will notice about the flavor of Knorr's Sides Plus Veggies:  Teriyaki Noodles With Asian Style Vegetables is the salty flavor.  If you are not used to highly salted foods or watching your sodium intake, this is not a dish for you.

I will not be purchasing this product again.  It's just too high in sodium and doesn't taste good.  The only thing it has going for it is that it is easy to prepare, but then so again is opeiing a can of green beans!

Recently the grocery store here had a sale on the Knorr Sides. I had fond memories of one of the Knorr soups from when I was much younger. So, I assumed they would taste great, therefore I bought several different packages and flavors. I have not found one that tastes good yet. But, I don't want to waste money, so I'll keep eating them until they are gone. But, I couldn't recommend them to anyone.

they have some that are pretty good, but the sodium does scare me off most of the time. good review.
