Most HelpfulNOTE ** Both NBC Universal and the director of Knocked Up (Judd Apatow) are being sued over the film by author Rebecca Eckler, who claims that the concept was stolen from her 2004 book of the same name. I have not read the novel in question, so I don't feel that I should voice opinions on the...

Most HelpfulRebecca Eckler, Candian journalist, columnist and author of the BOOK 'Knocked Up', had her work-product stolen for this movie "Knocked Up"... and she is now suing eveyone invloved in stealing her work to make this film! I think EVERY WRITER ACROSS THE GLOBE should support Rebecca in her lawsuit against...
read full review »I wont give you the long review since everybody else covered it so well. But, suffice it to say that I too really enjoyed the movie. In fact, I liked it so much that I was willing to sit for 2+ hours on the floor to watch it. (that's right! The 10:45pm movie was sooo packed we could not even get a seat!) And, to make matters worse, it was the first time I wore white in a few years. Hopefully that tells you how very much I liked it.
p.s. As a woman who was pregnant for 3 straight years, I can definitely relate. I think I was koo-koo. Though, hopefully I wasnt that koo-koo. The women in the movie...
read full review »Okay I'll be honest, I'll come clean; Katherine Heigl was prime motivator in going to see Knocked Up. Next to my wife she is probably one of the only women in America whom I would die for. Perhaps that is a (slight) exaggeration, but you get the picture, I have a serious case for the blonde with the million dollar smile, and serious curves. So I wanted to see the Gray's Anatomy alum on the big screen, smile and all.
Spun in the tradition of There is Something About Mary, Knocked Up, directed by the same man who brought us The 40-Year Old Virgin was a mild comedic movie that made me laugh...
read full review »Knocked up is a comedy that was recently released on DVD, it was created by the same people who made the 40 Year Old Virgin. If you liked the 40 Year Old Virgin you will very likely like this movie as well. In fact a couple of the actors that were in the 40 Year Old Virgin star in Knocked up as well. Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann.
The Plot
Alison Scott (Katherine Heigl) is a lovely girl who goes out to a bar with her sister one night her sister is a bit depressed because her marriage isn't really going the way that she wants it too. While attempting to a get a beer at the Alison...
read full review »Judd Apatow's The 40-Year-Old Virgin was a raunchy funny update of an 80s sex comedy that benefited from great charismatic performances and writing that didn't sacrifice character development for sight gags. ( Apatow jumped to films from television's Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared)
I was not expecting very much out of Knocked Up. I figured we'd get a cruder version of an 80s John Hughes' movie or the kind of movie Steve Martin keeps making. I was pleasantly surprised that the film features some wonderful performances, and like 40 Year Virgin, gives us characters that are pretty believable...
read full review »This is a really fun and really funny film. A growing trend in movies these days seems to be the "gross-out" romantic comedy. These films combine the romantic part that appeals to women and the "gross-out" part of the film that appeals to men. Putting them together is great and provides a film that both sexes can enjoy.
Seth Rogan is great as the loveable loser, as are his buddies that provide plentry of humor. Katherine Heigl plays the girl that is seemingly out of his league. The two have a fun chemistry that works great for the plotline. Paul Rudd is great in a supporting role. He's a welcome...
read full review »I definitely know that comedies are my favorite movies. "Knocked Up" is not only a comedy, it also has some seriousness to it and mush as well. It's an entertaining movie that I could and have watched more than once.
"Knocked Up", written and directed by Judd Apatow, has a great cast and soundtrack. It won the 2007 Teen Choice Award for Comedy and also People's Choice Award in 2008 for Favorite Movie Comedy. It was nominated for several other awards as well. Judd Apatow also directed "The 40-Year-Old Virgin".
The cast includes: Seth Rogen as Ben Stone, Katherine Heigl as Alison Scott, Paul Rudd...
read full review »Seth Rogen, an unlikely romantic leading man, is perfectly cast as slacker Ben Stone. Ben lives in a frat house-type abode with his buddies (off-screen friends Martin Starr, Jay Baruchel, Jason Segel, and Jonah Hill) and spends his time sort of working on creating a website about naked celebrities. Work isn't a high priority for Ben. Mostly, he's a loveable oaf who just hangs out with his goofy friends, getting drunk, talking about sex as well as other assorted topics guys in their 20s typically discuss at great length.
